so yea i went over to deer park (new yorkers should know where that is) and met up with my friend who has a srt4.... he met up with his srt4 club and we were just crusing around looking for races... so it was me and 7 srt4's so i thought id ste up to them... i raced one of them who was stock from stop and i took him off the line and in the end... i cut it at 100.. in the end i had about 1/2 car on him... not much. Then i raced my friend who has a CAI... it was like 50 degrees out and almost no humidity so the CAI plays a pretty good roll here. We did a roll around 40 and i won with like 1/2 on him then we did it from a stop. I took him in the begining up to about 70 then he realy started pulling. In the end he had a good car on me but my tranny was slipping the whole time durring both races. I kept redlining and i didnt know why i thought i was just slow with the shifting and my fule kept gettin cut of for like half a second b4 it shiftted. The next day my tranny was RIP. so now im on my new tranny at 33k miles and im putting in headers and mufflers but i shouldnt be racing as much... our trannys suck!!
PS i also raced on the way home and i beat a g35 sadan from stop and my friends 97 M3 from stop...

I suppose the G35 sedan and M3 weren't trying too hard because I get torn up on launch by those REAR WHEEL DRIVE machines. Top end it's different. Hell, my 330Ci (manual) smokes my CL to 60..and smokes it even more over 100...from ab out 60 to 100 on a roll they are even.

And my CL-S got DESTROYED on the interstate by a neon SRT-4. I call B/S...the SRT's are high 13/low 14 second cars stock...whereas the CL is in the high 14s...

g35 sedans have 260 horsepower as well as our cars, and they are at least 100 pounds more than our cars. With this man's AEM CAI, it is dyno proven to gain 15 horsepower at max. and at 50 degrees with no humidity. it can not beat, but destroy a sedan g35. with just my intake, i happened to beat a g35 automatic COUPE from 0-120 by 1.5 car lengths.

The 97 M3 is a tough one to believe. It is around a low 14.0-14.1 second 1/4 car. But it can also have an idiot driving it.

SRT-4.....no way we should beat them. off the line or on a roll. Those things are front wheel drive by the way!

But hey, anything could happen in a race. So he may have beat those srt-4's. but we all know that the srt-4, and m3 are faster.

Agree with CL Speed anything can happen in a race. The Srt-4 is a tough one to swallow but the 97 M3 is possible because I have been in a race with my boys CL-S with I/H/E and he has beaten the E36

its all on the driver and reaction time..alotta factors come into play when running in the streets. anything(almost) is possible.

Dont G35's have 280 Hp (the auto) and 298 HP (manual)? Anywayz, my girl drives a 2005 Coupe G35 automatic and her car doesnt feel much faster than mine. It might be because her car shifts a lot smoother and power is distributed evenly through out the rpms. On the other hand, the CL feels much jerkier and shows its true power at high rpms. We never got a chance to race because she is scared to go WOT on her car, but i think her car would beat me. She drove the car for 30k miles and never floored it (LOL).
About the old M3, I raced one and beat it by 1 car length on a freeway on-ramp. We went from 10-20 mph to 100-110.

I might be able to believe that you took a G35 and E36, but the SRT-4 is iffy, only because my good friend has one and I can take him off the line but that's only for about 200 ft. and this is only because he has one hell of a time getting traction, Those pull like a mother?

Uh. the dude said he raced a G35 SEDAN. THose have 260 no matter in auto or stick. thats what he raced. On the other hand. The G35 coupes auto and stick have 280 hp. NOT 287 (thats the 350Z). Until 2005, the G35 Coupe (auto) has 280 still and the stick has 298 hp. You can't tell the difference between two cars on the way they feel. Especailly if they are that close in comparison.

The coupe again does not have 287. THat is the 350Z. and the sedan is not slower than the coupe by only .1 seconds. That is so stupid to say. THe coupe is 150 pounds less. it has +20 horsepower. and its a sports coupe. those run a 14.2 seconds. the automatic COUPES run 14.5. The SEDANS RUN NO FASTER THAN 14.9. BELIEVE ME. i KNOW THAT COUPE MORE THAN ANYONE ELSE.

I have raced a srt4 with fully tuned headers, catback, bigger down pipe, and the owner also told me he had custom tuned computer. Although he was probably at a crapy kick speed which was 75 mph. We cut it off at 120 and he was only maybe 1.5 cars ahead. My Cl-s was stock at that time. So beating a stock srt4 is not impossible, whos the better driver!!

iight sorry im not on this thing every minute...anyway to answer some questions and yes the vids are going up today too....the 97 m3 is and automatic and my friend dirves it so i think i would know if he is pushing it or not... we have done it many times and he has lost from a roll and stop... the m3 in 1997 has many different versions for the smart asses that are quick to open their mouth... my friend has a 4 door which is heavier automatic and rims and its stock...as for the g35 sadan umm yea they have 260hp the same as ours (type S) automatic and the same weight and i have a CAI which gives me like 10hp even though i dont need it to beat that car... the guy agreed with me and said yea i had the same car.. this one is slower then yours... the srt4 i agree with you guys somewhat because he has only had the car for like 5 months so maby hes not used to shifting but i raced 2 different people one i beat by like 1 car atleast and the other had a CAI and was better at shifting but he beat me by like 1 car max.... vids in 5 min hol up... and wuts with the cursing i dont find any of u threatning or get insulted because truth is i dont give too shits i just thought i would share i didnt know i was talkin to imature 12yr olds...???
