14.08 @ 98.8mph

RT... .665
60'..... 2.25
1/8ET... 9.335
1/8MPH... 79.01
1/4ET... 14.08
1/4MPH... 98.84

Mods are as follows:

BFG G-Force dr's 225/45/17
Icebox
17" Centerline lightweight wheels

2500 rpm launch with a bit of spin & hop, 4th gear powershifted 2nd & 3rd speedshifted. Gas on last tick, 19's were on the back wheels, temp was 70* 50* humidity. Track was a little moist from raining, so it was still a little tricky to launch.

I'll be going end of the season probably for the last time and try again for my unrealistic 13.99999X.

Holy f*ck!

Nice times man, I'm so jealous (maily because you can knock down 2.2 60' times and of your 98.8mph traps).

Do you think your DR's give you the higher traps? I only trap 97mph, at best... usually 96.something... and I am bone stock + Icebox.

The slightly shorter than stock dr's (25" tall) probably do help my traps a tiny bit, but bone stock I ran 97'ish mph, so who's to say how much.

Weather affects my mph alot more it seems, if its hot & humid I can lose 2-3mph.

I was hoping for closer to 99.5mph since I added a iebox & lighter wheels, but I'm happy with the ET. I'm gonna ge back in either october or november when its really cool and see if that helps et. Probably ditch the pass & back seats, spare/jack, and really go all out to get a 13.9. Prob wont happen, but here's hoping.

On the blackmarket. Bought them very slightly used on stock 01 CL-S wheels for $160 shipped. Sold the wheels for $150 and bought the lightweight 17's, so basically I got the tires for $10.

thats so weird... my run with (i/h) on my cl-s auto was:
Reaction: .331
'60: 2.297
1/8: 9.691
1/4: 14.93

And my actuator is working
WHY WHY WHY?

The radials must help chip off a 2 or 3 tenths of a second!

I'm halfway saved to an S-Trim, and the supporting mods for next spring (intake, roller rockers, ET radials, etc)

how is the traction on the 225/45/17? do you hook up really well? i'm thinking about buying them.
They're better than any street tire, but I still spin on them if I try anything over a 3k launch. I have stock susp tho, so if you have stiffer springs/shocks to limit weight transfer it would prob help alot.

Do you powershift ?
Only on the 3-4 shift. I speed shift the other gears, but I dont feel like hurting the car, and I didnt see any better ET's from powershifting the 1-2 & 2-3, mostly because I think I got alot more spin/hop on the 1-2.

Shifting without lifting off the throttle. Speedshifting is letting off the gas, but shifting as fast as possible by preloading the shifter towards the next gear. You stab the clutch quickly, moreso than normal pushing it in.

Then what's shifting without a clutch? Isn't there some point at the perfect speed and rpm's you can shift without using your clutch?

well, its not the best for the car but you can do it if your fast enough. Dont bother trying it if you cant shift like Flash lightening. You can ruin your syncros and grind gear. If you shift fast then your car will rev no more than 400 rpms and your car never drops you just launch forward ( powershift = shifting so fast you dont have to let the foot leave the gas ) saves about .2 off the quarter if you do it right.

Key difference: I can't drive stick.

But my 60' times were better and I'm on all season tires and stock rims

And a nicer track and stiffer suspension

Dont worry, I'll get some 2.1's with some practice and better track prep.
