It's a 2003, meaning that it would have the C32B. Nice run, you must've out drove him

lol, but your CL is also heavier than the NSX! So theoretically you did well!

lol, nova_G, the NSX IS FAST compared to its competitors, well, at least it's as fast as the GT-R, and faster than the supra! unless they are modded..haha.

i dont really know much about the NSX when it comes to straight line performance. ive seen a couple videos of the NSX-R hitting high 12's/low 13's.

is there a such thing as a base NSX? i know the NSX-R had reduced its weight which is why i was set to believe that the base NSX would be a low/mid 13 sec car.

maybe what i meant to say was modded GT-R/Supra > modded NSX?

OT: there was this LOUD explosion outside my house going to go check it out. lol iforyou do you know where i can watch and BM or HV videos online?! lol

yeah NSX is quick but not that fast... It's the only stock Acura beside the new TL that can hang w/the type s CL. Try putting the CL up against a corvette and its a whole diff story

The fastest I've seen for a stock NSX-R is 12.55s on Best Motoring. Usually they run 12.7-12.9.

Yea, there are several variations in Japan, NSX, NSX-T, NSX Type S, NSX Type S Zero, and NSX Type R. In here though, we only have NSX and NSX-T. The NSX is about 3000lbs, NSX-T, with its targa top, is around 3100-3200lb, NSX Type S is about 2900, Type S Zero (with ZERO equipment...no AC, no stereo) is about 2840, and NSX-R is 2800. Type S and Type S Zero have stiffer suspension than normal NSX, and after the facelift in 2002, there's no more Type S Zero.

The slowest NSX, the NSX-T, should be around 13.2s. Type S Zero is actually about as fast as the Type R on average.

Modded Supra/GT-R should be faster on the straight than a modded NSX. I think the highest I've seen on a street legal NSX is with the lovefab turbo at 771whp. That thing is a beast...go to youtube and search for "lovefab".

I can pm you the links to those vids

wow! 12.55 thats quick as shit with only 280hp @ the crank?!?! i wonder what their trap speeds and 60' foots are.

like i said before i hardly know anything about NSX's i always thought they were slow compared to their competitors lmao was i wrong. i guess its b/c theyre so rare in the US that not much people talk about them lol thanks for the info! yea ive seen the lovefab turbo that thing is nuts i would love to see it go against a t88 supra on a straight.

oo and im at work right now so link isnt working ill check it when i get home thanks again!

I have no clude what the trap speed and 60' foot were on that run haha, but it was driven by the drift king!

Best Motoring once did a dyno test on a stock NA1 NSX (1990 model), and guess what, they got 286ps (282hp)...I'm not sure if that's hub hp (because wheels were taken off to do the test), or they measured the hub hp, THEN converted that into crank hp. Either way, 286ps on a car with 100000 miles on it is pretty amazing. The test was done in one of the VTEC club or Roaring VTEC videos. By the way, that was with a 3.0L 5MT NSX, so I'd imagine the 3.2L unit would be making even more power.

Yea, the problem is we get the heavier NSX's here..so..most of the time they ca only run low 13's...and those GTR's and Supra's get really fast once they are mildly modded.
