01 CLS vs. M3

*performed by professional on closed course*

01 CLS - check sig for specs, gas light on, VSA off

M3 - female passenger, at least catback (exhaust note obviously louder than stock)

m3 gets on it from around 40, i saw him pulling and i was in 4th, so i drop the car into 2nd and lean into gas at around 40 mph. at 60 the m3 is about 1.5-2 car lengths ahead, at the shift from 2nd > 3rd around 70-80 i'm starting to pull on the m3. closing in to 100 my nose is at his rear fender. i'm waiting for the shift at 110 thinking m3 will slow down, wrong. shifting to 4th at 110 and i'm looking at the passenger door now. m3 still pulling and at about 120 i can no longer see the m3 in peripheral thru windshield. we are about dead even at 125 or so. we both slam brakes and go from 120-0 in about 100 ft.

no words from driver or passenger.

side note i really need rear bbk.

next week:
cf hood/trunk goes on

within month:
axleback upgraded (still on stock axlebacks)

within few months:
tune, secret intake work, cams (retune)

edit: forgot to put in street encounters.

forgot to specify this was the newer style M3, not the old one, and it was convertible.

I was going to say, you didn't conspicuously drop off the radar on the shift to 4th? lol...Then I saw the 3.5...good run. It is fun just to have a non hate filled competitive race sometimes.

Um, and I'm sure a turbo'd built 3.5L CL with a jet motor strapped to the roof would pull on the M3 CSL...they are crazy fast, my uncle has one

Well I am pretty sure that my sisters-husbands-friend's space shuttle Geo Metro with rocket fuel will be able to beat your cousins M3 CSL and then slightly pull on the jet motor turbo'd 3.5CL.
