Reputable Acura Dealers in Chicagoland

Muller's really hooked me up. I purchased my '03 TL from them certified in '06 and when my tranny went out they honored the warranty, with minor pleading, even though the warranty was expired by a month. They also replaced it with a brand new trans rather than a refurb one. All I had to pay was taxes on the new trans and for the extended 3 year warranty on it, a total of like $600-$700 bucks.

I don't doubt you do quality work and I'm the same way. As far as cars go - if I'm going to do anything on it, either it's my ride, my pop's, friends, neighbor's, or anyone's - if I decide to do it - I'll do it right the first time. If I don't know how to do any particular thing - I just don't do it at all. I hate myself when comes to failure. I hate let anyone down.
I will definitely let you know if I need anything done (I'm thinking about changing tranny pressure switches or doing 3x3 with Amsoil or Redline).
Hope you all doing great I can't wait until weather gets warmer...
Best regards!

Best dealer IMO is Woodfield Acura/Muller's in Hoffman Estates. Not only did they complete some warranty work for me last week, they identified another issue and replaced that for free without having to bring it up. They are also one of the few dealerships in IL (maybe the only) with a NSX certified mechanic (Ted). I've had nothing but great experiences with them. Matter of fact, Ed Napleton Acura is literally 1.5 miles from my house. After a few terrible experiences, I gave up on them and drive 20+ miles to Mullers.

Actually we are all NSX certified, its just that none of us want to work on one because its a PITA. Not that the cars are hard to work on, but realistically most owners think they are gods gift on wheels and having to be so super careful about as much as leaving a grease stain on a valve cover (been there) and you are getting a bad customer satisfaction survey in the mail. I will stick to cars which are normal and don't have ridiculously priced replacement parts.

As far as your other comments on NSX owners thinking they are "god's gift," this is exactly what's wrong with people who don't understand customer service. This is what separates the good shops to the excellent shops. It's about exceeding the customer's needs/wants. You SHOULD be super careful with ALL cars, not just NSX's. Keep those valve covers clean regardless of the model and don't make excuses.

Ed Napleton Acura of Elmhurst is not to be trusted. CPO should be fixed to the standard and it is not there in my experience. Also fiance dept will try and rush you when signing papers. Read it over carefully. They will say something and print out something different for you to sign.
