Oh, I have to pay, dude. This "free" maintenance is already in the cost of the purchase. Nothing free in life. And given where I live, the wear and tear will be alot faster on cars...
Still colder than Hoth here. And not exaggerating. Fahrenheit is lower than Celsius.

I've been getting good discounts from my Honda people, so after a while, they may do the same.
At what point does Fahrenheit drop below Celsius?

Does Audi use the RFID to ID the car coming into svc? Pretty sure that's what MB does. There's a small sticker on the back of the mirror, must get scanned as you enter the svc drive. Porter/greeter id's you by name as you're getting out of the car.

Not sure about that. But, my familiarity with the crew there is more because I can't apparently stay away from the dealership.

I haven't experienced this currently with Audi, or in the past (granted 4 yrs ago) with MB. The porter asks if I have an appt, signs in the car and then my SA inspects the vehicle and takes pictures at every angle with a tablet before writing up the RO..

My MB dealer has large monitors hung from the ceiling on the svc drive, listing the appts for the day.
When you pull in, it pops up with something like "Welcome: _____" & they greet you by name.

Albeit, I think every dealer is different. Up here, one of the Lexus dealerships is apparently king for service...you get a free breakfast, car of your choice, and even get to have a spa treatment.
The BMW dealerships here are borderline incompetent. BUT, the service manager from my Infiniti recently went to one of the BMWs to run their service team and I expect he'll really change things up for one of them.

Wow, definitely a perk for those Lexus owners.
I think the MB thing is pretty standard, I've seen it mentioned a few times on the MB forum I've only been to my dealer for service, so can't comment outside my sample size of 1. They did at least comply with my request to not get a CLA for a loaner the last 2 times (GLE & GLC instead).

Wow. Had no idea service centres had gotten so upscale these days!
My VW dealer has an indoor bay for pick-up and drop-off. Which is nice.

My local BMW dealers all have this scanning thing.. the moment you drive up to the service drive way, everything is filled out already on your paperwork.
It is meant to save time.... it does.. but somehow i still spent the same amount of time waiting......

Went to a Lexus dealership for a recall the other day... Drove up and same thing, scanned the VIN/License Plate, got the tire tread of every tire so that when I went up, they had all of it
We live in great times

Waiters gonna wait
Been through that with a dealership, it takes a long time to write up a dozen or more cars.

Yeah, the thought of going into an RLX was really tempting. Like, more tempting than a Pagani sitting there with the doors open and the keys in the ignition for the taking.
But, I heard the back-order for the RLX is 234122 years. So, I decided to hold onto the S5.

Some day you will regret not having the class-leading ground clearance of the RLX.

My average speed in my 6000 miles is 25 MPH.... which is actually higher than my average speed 90% of the time. But we get these cars for the other 10% time.

Your not missing anything not remembering him. In fact you are probably ahead in life being able to say that.
