An older V70R is not a bad bet. Turbo charged 300HP... search on ebay motors.

Sucks that my CL 6spd is only worth about 10K, but for a buyer a CL 6spd is a great bang for the buck

just do a manual tranny conversion in your CLS. Could do the 3.5L upgrade if you feel really ambitious.

V70R...An automatic...?

You could try this:

V70R

Another V70R

A third V70R

And before I get flamed, The older model years were a bit more powerful than the newer ones (the 300HP stopped production in 2003/2004 time frame), plus the OP has a budget of 11K.

Why not a early model GTO? you can pick up a 5.7 GTO fairly cheap.

Going on the FWD sport end of things: Prelude

Sadly, there's not many cheap reliable RWD cars out there....

Older BMW's and Porsches can kill you on maintenance (german cars in general are like that), and there aren't that many RWD cars on the japanese side...

You can check out Nissan 240sx and Toyota Supra, but those are getting older and harder to find in good condition.

For RWD, we're kinda limited to Camaros/Mustangs and Miatas in that price range...

S2k, G35, RX7, etc. and the rest of the RWD cars out there are going to be over your 11K limit...

Probably best to find a sporty FWD car in that price range, unless you don't mind driving a 10 y/o car...

my parent know that the moment i find a 5spd low mileage s14 that is stock, i am taking some of my inheritance money and buying it and selling the CL. My parents hate the fact that i like the car soo much but its my dads fault, i never even knew what the car was til he was with me one day when i still had my restricted and told me to check the price of 240's

You could also take a look at your local Subaru dealer.... Legacy GT, used.... AWD and sporty, plus you can get them with a manual tranny.

I don't know why the poster can't get into a early model GTO for 11 grand. sure it won't have all the bolt ons and big rims and other fun shit on it but he or she can add it down the road once they get some cash.

For 11k I would personally be more concerned about the condition of the car than the type of car. But then again, you need to start searching somewhere...
