Would you trade a 335 for CLK550?
Ok, i am getting a great deal on a 2007 CLK550 where I would basically sign my car over and make payments on an 07 CLK550 with 5K miles with navi, bluetooth etc.
. I have 7K on mine.
I love the V8 and the abscence of the B pillar. It is black on black. My wife can't drive stick which makes me feel bad all the time.
Would you do it. As much as I love stick I don't love the BMW stick.
Dunno....

No manual = no care
Its a nice car though. If you're not looking for much excitement other than happy-time with your right foot its a nice car. Still not sure about the reliability though. Comfortable, but I've always thought that MB seats past and present have never been soft nor supportive.

I liked the old CLK's but the new ones are very vanilla to me, bland, boring and dull. As time passes our needs in a vehicle change, if you can't live with the bimmer and need to do something I would consider it. The merc is not the drivers car that the bimmer is and I wouldn't want to sacrifice that, but that is me.

I don't know how the CLKs hold up specifically, though.

I never been a fan of the current CLK, looks way too meh.
Plus the new CLK will be out and you will be stuck with an outdated looking car. IMO
Have you even driven the Benz yet? I wouldnt do it, but im also not you.
Just whatever you do, dont buy it just because it has a V8. I know how you been itching for one.

Sc430's are hot as well. Needs major suspension upgrades. I looked them up and it's not cheap.

I would stick with the 335 personally, while the MB is definitely a V8 smooth riding car the 335 imo is a much more fun car to drive daily if you are a car enthusiast.
Oh yeah, has anyone mentioned resale?

go for it bro... havent there been problems with the 335 and their turbos that were at high milages on the odo??? iono but i would def go for it if you liked the car in the first place you have the chance now. I say do it as long as you dont get screwed over financially.

oh I like both of those cars. 335 for tuning possibilities and CLK for the ballin' factor and how rare they are where I live. For me it would be a tough call but I think I would go with the BMW.
Ramble:
Yesterday I saw a guy that went to school with me and he drives a new 335. Now we graduated last year and he already can afford that. It pisses me off cuz he is a fucking idiot and I dont think he got one but his dad got him one. Whats the prising on those in US? trim isnt that important to me besides 6mt and coupe.

One of the things to remember is even if somehow he did buy it himself, as you said he's an idiot. He might be spending all his money on the car. I think that's asinine.
