ok my fiance is looking for a 4 runner under 14k.
she stumbled upon one that has 113k on teh clock, its a 2000 limited loaded except navi.
i know the foreign cars can last forever, since i own a couple of em.

the dealer wanted 14900. i yold her that 13k with tax/tags etc would be a good deal. she emailed the guy and said would they accept 12800 plus tax/tags b/c she thought my offer would be too low.
they emailed back saying they would sell for 12,800.

i still didnt like the price, so she emailed back to see if they would accept my offer.

coming froma dealer would 13k be a decent price for this vehicle in great shape?

i want her to hold off and find a loweer mileage one for about the same price, but there arent a ton of em.

***her one requirement is to have color coded fender flares and bumpers. most of the 4runners come with silver/chrome bumpers, and she wants the same color as the vehicle, and she wants a silver vehicle

help please

Hey Dallison, try carvision.com. That's where I got my car from. They have all kinds of price ranges and most of the vehicles are fairly recent.

Oh yeah, they're in Norristown. Up the road from King of Prussia.

Uhh...I'd check to see what the blue book value on the vehicle with that kind of mileage is. Seems kinda high...

Never heard of it. I dont pay much attention to York
For the most part I had a good transcation and got an awesome price. But of course, I have my complaints just like anyone else.

If the car is only worth 12500 and the dealer wants 12800, I'd say screw it. Not worth the aggrevation.

Yeah. The one complaint I have is that you really have to fight to get your way. But once they realize there is a problem they are more then happy to deal with it. Good luck!

Regardless, the retail doesn't mean you're getting anything but screwed. I'd say skip it. With that kind of mileage, too many things could go wrong.

now not to be against everyone but, I own a 02 Tundra 4x4 with the 4.7 V-8(love the thing) good torque, good mileage and decent looking pickup. I had a 94 Dodge Ram 1/2 ton 4x4(want to talk about a POS) my buddies and I would play in the mud at my family's farm. my buddies with a mid 80's(84-86) he only had a 4 popper 22r motor(which isn't much power) could go farther in mud than my v-8 318 ram. we ran the piss out of that Tacoma. we had it a couple times up to the hood in mud. the funny thing was he'd burry it in mud, tach it out to like 7k rpms revs, jump it on trail ruts or like an open ditch the thing hardly broke down. mine I didn't run it as hard.(yes i did mud bog occassionally) but i didn't go in as deep, i didn't jump it or rev it hard and my old truck was always on the jack. He still has his old Tacoma. he got a newer one shortly after I got the Tundra. But he was well over 250,000 HARD MILES. I haven't really took the Tundra mud bogging but we've got it into fields and stuff. nothing like when I was in High School
only thing I've noticed with Toyota that they suck on is paint. this area(Northwest Ohio) is hell on paint due to lots of gravel on roads and berms so gravel kicks up and chips paint. That's the only thing i hate about the Tundra . I've talked with other Tundra owners in the area they say the same thing.
Toyota Trucks in my opinion are about bulletproof.
