I think you got it there...there are so many of them, and so many people do shitty things to them. A clean, well hooked up mustang is a really nice car IMO. Its all those shitty ones with flowmasters and a dirtbag with a mullet driving that give all of them a bad name.

You have to keep in mind what a mustang is too...its a big powerful engine on a budget car. Its not supposed to be 'contemporary luxury'.

For the price, and for doing what its supposed to do (haul ass), stangs are great cars.

To be honest, this seems to be one of the much more well informed message boards I've been on. Most of the people on here are intelligent enough to know that people dont buy Mustangs because they want a luxurious ride or high class interior.

Its a decently fast car stock, that with some mods can be made very fast. I think alot of import guys need to take a step back and appreciate what the Mustang GT has done for the performance aftermarket parts economy. Without the fox body 5.0's ALOT of "import" part companies wouldnt be around.

I cant imagine ever selling my Mustang, or at least not owning one. Not many cars can do what it can for the amount of money invested.

Oh, and as far as the owners go its the way the world works. I have met more retarded and intellectually challenged import owners than I care to remember. There are lots of idiots out there with cars. How fair would it be to rip on Civic's because the owners are punk retards who drive over-hyped and slow as piss economy cars?

I guess this wouldn't be the time to mention "Rustangs"?

Its funny that they are called rustangs since Honda's have a well known tendancy to rust themselves away much worse than any Ford. :P

My thoughts exactly.

I had a 97 Mustang GT before the CLS and I really liked it. I probably should have kept it. It would have some bullshit problems from time to time, but so does the CLS.

I could not pull out of my driveway without seeing another Mustang GT go down my street. Don't see too many CL drivers where I live.

I agree that there are ALOT of Mustangs out there. Its been kind of nice over the past year with my CL-S because I can count on my hand how many other 2nd Gen CL's I've seen driving.

I think thats a real cop out. The 05 has a nice interior and the performance which makes the excuse even worse. Fortunately the competition has stepped it up and ford no longer has a choice between mediocre and nice.

I agree, but until its out the current Mustang is not the pinnacle of interior quality, although for me its perfectly acceptable. I'd rather them spend the $$ on the powertrain, to be honest.

Crap, even ive thought of a mustang now and then.
the problem with all newer mustangs is that they are built like crap interior wise. the interior is not only so plain, but its ready to fall apart.
i know 2 people with the mustang, and they both agree its a piece of junk except for its looks and easy POWER ability.

If you want speed for cheap, get the stang. if you want anything else, stay away!
btw, i would probably take a GT engine over the type-s engine anyday (for power reasons). although its not as fuel efficient or as smooth, its still an american v8 which EVERYONE can agree is one great sounding motor.

FOR THE MONEY, VETTES AND STANGS are the best value when it comes to all it power.

I dont completely agree. I have less squeaks in my Mustang than in my Acura. The components are not high quality aesthetically, but I dont think they are fragile.
