Whos got some Muscle cars?
who else has some american muscle cars new or classic?
I'll start it off with my project car. 1967 Impala SS originally was a 327 now it has a 454 with a 4 speed no power anything here is a clip of it https://cimg0.ibsrv.net/gimg/acurazi...93cd4b6432.jpg https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/acurazi...b6921990f0.jpg https://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/acurazi...7ae784c5b4.jpg https://cimg4.ibsrv.net/gimg/acurazi...2398f03fba.jpg https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/acurazi...d20aa80f48.jpg https://cimg3.ibsrv.net/gimg/acurazi...84483ab6ff.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/acurazi...7a39d5ed4f.jpg |

I've got a 68 Barracuda Notchback that's awaiting a long overdue restoration. Needs everything from the rockers down.

More of a sports car than a muscle car, but I’ll play. https://cimg7.ibsrv.net/gimg/acurazi...2fd8b30e9.jpeg |

I've had a C-10. Loved that thing, looking into getting another one, or a 66 Chevelle.
|
btw what are the requirements to be called a muscle car?
|
American + V8 + RWD
I think the Vagons qualify, along with the likes of the Chevrolet SS, Charger SRT & up. |
So not a car counts?
Here is another one of my trucks. Unfortunately the most recent picture is it parked next to another project that will never be finished. The last picture I have of it together is prefixed dsc, which means it was a borrowed sony handicam before I got a digital camera. https://cimg6.ibsrv.net/gimg/acurazi...c1cca7a9ba.jpg https://cimg8.ibsrv.net/gimg/acurazi...57e818b05e.jpg I bought it with the 429 already in it, but it was a 70's hot rod and I've since modernized some things over the years. mid 70's 429 heads changed out for dove heads manifolds changed to headers. power steering conversion with a Toyota steering box 4 wheel disk brakes with a power booster from a late 70's ford truck Went from 1 wheel wonder with 4.11 gears (it would spin into 3rd) to a lsd with 3.50's. I also added gt350 style traction bars at that time. Currently what is taking forever is re doing the bed. It was used as a truck and it shows. I'm also putting mini tubs in to get a little more tire in the back. It's still been out of commission for longer than is reasonable for the work being done though. |

I think the Vagons qualify, along with the likes of the Chevrolet SS, Charger SRT & up. The Mustangs, Camaros, Javelins and Challengers were all "pony cars" based on compact-size chassis. Now, the Vagons, SS and Chargers qualify as muscle cars. I'm not sure about the Mustangs, Camaros and Challengers, which are now built on chassis shared with larger-than-compact sedans... |

I'll stand by V8 (or bigger) + RWD (AWD maybe)

Modern, I'd probably agree, I'd have an AMG V8 > most contemporary American competition.
Back in the 60-70s, :patriot: US > * As an overall package, the Germans know their way around a V8 sedan. For the sake of raw power ... there's no missing the Dodge Demon / Hellcat. They're absolute monsters from factory. |
Hellcat - 10.7 @ 127mph w/ a 1.5 60' ...
Add a pulley, E85, and slicks ... you've got a low second 10 second car

Man, looked up MSRP for a Durangon SRT....ouch that is quite a price tag...starts at 63k...wouldn't be surprised if many are in upper 60s to even 70k range after all said is done.....
But really...$70k is a bargain. That car competes with $100k performance SUVs. |

A lot of nice cars and trucks on here! I don't consider this a true muscle car but this is my 90 notch that Ive had since I was 16. Currently going another engine/trans swap. |
|
Damn you guys ...
I hate wanting ALL cars  - A V8 is certainly in my future ... but the B5 would have to go  |
