I always use Costco to get tires. I check out Tirerack a lot to see reviews though.

I buy exclusively through the Tire Rack. They support the troops by shipping to an APO/FPO address

I wish manufacturers would post their wheel weights.

I saw some OEM VW Helios from a Phaeton (19x8.5) that looked cool until I saw they weigh 31lbs each.

Jesal, do you think adding 5lbs of weight per wheel is a big deal or should I try to stay as close to what the OEM wheel was?

My JSW was 43lbs with a tire. My V710s are going to be 48lbs with a tire. I just wonder if the front wheels trying to spin an extra 5lbs is going to hurt performance at all.

Unsprung weight is huge. Only a few lbs makes a big difference. For a normal car street driven it wont be as noticeable as on the track but it would be there.

That's what I thought too. 18" Ultraleggeras are about 19lbs and with a 22lb tire that's actually less than my OEMs.

Ultras aren't cheap though (even used).

I don't plan on tracking my station wagon any time soon but I only have 170hp to begin with and don't want to make it even slower with heavy wheels.

And only $5k a set!
