if you had to choose, on a 3-piece wheel.... polished lip or chrome lip? give me your reason depending on your choice

Polished. Easier to fix if you get rock chips or somthing.

I spent about an hour polishing two of my Racing Hart three-piece wheels. I had them refinished and now the lips are polished not anodized. It's hard work but the shine is amazing.

polished lip... easier to clean PLUS i am not a fan of chrome...
