^^^ just not too many knobs/buttons though, I still like a rather clean looking dash, ie-why I am so GM averse. I counted the buttons in my brother's Bonneville SS about 10 years ago and there were almost 50 of them!

Thanks for the memories and the post. The S-class has been a treat and an amazing, amazing vehicle. One critique, however, of the S-class (and all new Benz's including the C) is the complexity of doing some simple tasks. While "less buttons" are nice, I challenge anyone not used to the new MB "Command" system to figure out how to shut the climate control on a (any) new Mercedes.
