what would you do (need you guys input)

okay I got a problem guys:
here's the problem I got an 89 CRX si built for SCCA Solo2.(roll cage with camera bracket, coilovers,DC sport intake, headers, cherry bomb exhaust, falken tires, lightweight rims, interior pretty much gutted) about 2100-2200 lbs(I have weight slips somewhere) MSD ignition box, 2 Sparcos with 5 point harnesses. I was running Street Touring Stock(or STS to most people). which the car was very competive. I had a mildly built D series motor(dynoed 125 wheel hp) . I blew the motor up last race of last year.
now here are my 3 options i thought of.

#1. Get a Spoon B18C5 motor(integra type R motor) it pretty much a direct bolt. I will leave the headers, intake, and all that stock and run STU(street touring unlimited) but it's like 6 grand for a Spoon B18C5 motor then I have to get wiring harness, motor mounts, tranny. I've talked with people and they say Spoon Motors are about bulletproof. overall with professional install cost will run about 10-12 grand.

#2. F--- the CRX and find a nice clean Integra Type R. I've seen them go for around 17-18 grand. then I'll run Stock class.

#3. whatever you guys can think of. keep in mind I like Honda/Acura cars so whatever you guys suggest please keep that in mind. also keep in mind a reasonable budget. It's a track only car so A/C, heating, power windows aren't required.

about 30-40 events in about 2 years
I run in my home region OVR(Ohio Valley Region), but occassionally I'll run NWOR
(Northwest Ohio Region) or Ft Wayne Region.

Only thing about the S2000 atleast around me.(it's good for owners)
their holding their resale amazingly well. but since I get a 25% off MSRP discount on Hondas(because dad works for Honda) and options at cost, I can get a new one damn close to a used one. for me to take out a new car and run the piss out of it is hard for me. Plus i'd have to get used to the FWD to RWD difference.

to tell you what a deal Honda gives to their employees on new cars: mom was looking at a new Odyseey EX with leather Honda will sell it to them employee's family for 24000(no options just the bear EX with leather) and it list for 31 or 32 grand i believe. like I could get that S2000 probably around 30 grand with some goodies and tax.

I would stick to my word.

When I say I'm going to do something I do it....(like say, annouce I'm leaving the site)

But it looks like you picked up a copy of elements of grammar, so lets see what you can do now.

I'd do the Type R, but the CRX would be lighter and probably a bit quicker

Well, I tried to PM you, but you are not accepting pms. So, I will have to ask here.

If you were to choose to purchase another car, would you be interested in selling the CRX? If you are at all interested, shout me an e-mail or pm me your e-mail address so that we can talk.

the thing is I'll probably drop the Spoon B18C5 motor in it due to it being the cheapest. and plus I like FWD. plus I've worked on the CRXs/Civics A LOT so I know my way around them. I thought maybe their would maybe a cheaper way to do it.
yeah I could do a Integra LS motor swap(but the older LS models had no VTEC)(NO VTEC=NO WANT TO ME)
the 2 motors that primary came to my mind (that are serious hp out of the factory)
#1.H22 (last gen Prelude motor) it's a little torquer than the B18C5 but heavier and plus it's a BITCH to drop into a CRX.(you about have to hack the shit out of the engine bay)
#2.B18C5. b series motors were intended for civic about sized cars. only thing is the C5 motor you pay out to ass for because so few were built and everyone wants one. plus the aftermarket for them unreal

yeah it's highly competitve.
by the time I get a actual Integra Type R or S2000 and set up rims/tires,suspenion, roll cage, gutting the interior and bolt ons(like CAI,headers, exhaust) i'd be over 25 grand.
actual i'll probably be in the 20 grand range. because my car has a custom paint job i got at a reduced rate because i'm sponcered by a body shop. it's red and fades to yellow and has a GIANT(probably 12 inch tall) by 3 foot graphic running in a angle starts right behind the driver's door runs downward to the wheel well says CIVIC TYPE R.
everyone been kidding me about saying TYPE R and not having a B18C5 motor. .plus i have a lot of other graphics on it from sponcers.
I got a TIRE RACK sticker on it. Place that repairs the car if it's major(Like a blown engine ) sponcers me.
my favorite sticker is:
everyone was kidding me when I first got the CRX si because i did basic bolt ons(CAI,headers, exhaust) nothing major at the time i didn't have the money to do coilovers and get a built motor. so people would ride with me or if i'd let the ride with me they'd say afterwards "The Hamster in that thing has to be tired" if you guys know much about D series motor stock they don't make a lot of power out of the box.
so I got a sticker that has the intel inside little circle says HAMSTER POWER INSIDE.

I have seen a couple of H22 swaps, and man, they are NOT easy!! The B18 on the other hand, is very easy. My friend with the Type R had a CRX with multiple engines in it, including the B18 (C2 I believe, but am not sure). With that engine, he had Type R stuff inside, like pistons, etc-he called it a "poor man's Type R engine". Anyways, there is no need to get a C5 if you can build a C3 or C2 for much less.

Yeah 1 is probably your best bet. Good luck getting a Type R and I wouldn't recommend any other Hondas since CRX is lighter than Civic hatches. Why not a LS/GSR combo? It's probably cheaper.

I dunno, thats alot of money to put into a car that you will never see again.

I rather buy a different car for 16-18k.

Less headaches that way.

the body in perfect shape but the thing is when you build a race car(it doesn't see any street time) it has no tags and it doesn't have a registration. usually you don't care about resale value on a race car. you know your gonna run the F--K out of it whoever buys it knows you've ran the F--K out of it so what the hell man. sorry if i come off as a smart ass but i'm just pointing out my view.

If you trailer the car to events, then get the spoon engine. No sense in buying a highly stolen car.

just dont blow this one up.

true. I guess its hard for me to see how well that CRX is set up compared to a stock S2k.
