What type of brake pad do you use?

Wondering what type of brake pads folks are using. Ceramic seems to be the most popular but I'm considering semi-metallic due to their better heat dissipating properties. I frequently make a trip down a canyon with steep grades and have to apply the brakes pretty frequently. Metallic are probably overkill but ceramic might not provide as much cooling as I'd prefer. I know semi-metallic also create more dust but I have dark grey wheels so that's not a huge factor :P Suggestions?

I switched to EBC Redstuff from the stock BMW pads and have been very happy. Less dust, better and more consistent pedal, great stopping power, and much less fade on vigorous drives.

OE on the last 3. Replacements from RockAuto on the TL & Civic.
We'll see once the Flex or C need new brakes. Proabably OE or similar on the Flex & an upgrade on the C.

Semi-metallic on my Prelude (has gunmetal wheels so the dust doesn’t show up as much as it did on the original blades), OEM on the TL.

Metallic is overkill on the street. I got used to my metallic pads, but they're annoyingly squeaky and dust like crazy.

It really depends on the brand, too. During spirited driving, you can have organic pads from one brand outperform metallic pads from another brand.
