What I don't get about floor jacks

Why do they package only 2 jack stands in a set with a floor jack? Why not 4? It makes sense to put 4, not 2.

cause rarely do people need to put all 4 in the air at once, most of the time it's just to lift one end up. That said personally, I wouldn't like being underneath a car on 4 jack stands, i'd be nervous as hell.

I've got about 6-8 jack stands in my garage between me and my brother...

He was the smart guy and bought 4 matching ones. I've got a mismatched set (4) that I got, you guessed it, from buying a couple of floor jacks (came free 2 with each jack).

It's primarily a cost thing... I usually only use 2 at a time, but there are some cases where having 4 that match nice.

Really? What about to rotate tires? Would be a pain if you couldn't get all 4 up in the air.

probably, i've only had tires that can switch front to back, so I just lift up one side at a time
