Sadly a couple of my wheels have some bad rash on them...I had one repaired when I took a chunk out of it...I've given up at this point. Knock on wood still no big knicks or dings, but she is just a big ol family hauler that I have fun driving. I knew it would get to that point. Even though I still purposely park in BFE.

I found that around my area I got more dings parking out in BFE vs. when I parked with everyone else. Only dents I've had in the past few years have been caused by my wife and kids. Of course my hellcat is going to get fukkin nailed by a car door now that I say that!

Can you curb your wheels without knowing? because my right side 2 have some rash on them and i have no idea where they come from.

I pretty much never park on the street and when i did, usually i park so far away from the curb that i could really get a ticket, yet i still have rash on both wheels on the right side.

Somewhat off-topic/my own ignorance question: In almost all dyno videos, I see people get up to the gear they want and then seem to punch the gas to quickly get up the redline. Would a smooth/slower gas delivery be resulting in the same hp number? Or is it a more psychological thing where you want to get big power and just want to punch it hard on the dyno?

305 on a 9" wheel is pushing it. I'd research that, first,

Im putting 285s on a 9.5" wheel, up front.... and 325s on a 10.5" out back... in both cases, it's pushing it to the limits. Mind you, this is for a Z, but, still... I didn't think a 305 would fit on a 9"...

My boss is getting 691 hp factory. He's installing an AL one piece drive shaft, and i think 305/30/20 with mickey thompsons in the back. Mickeys will be in the front too, but stock size.

I know he's getting a tune, programming the injectors, smaller pulley and a couple other smaller items. It'll be a few weeks until i drive it.

Drove the kitty up to MD last week and, of course, it fuggin snowed! Good road trip but had to carpool in with my boss all week while the car sat in the hotel parking lot. Managed 22.5 mpg for the trip and that includes several angrily applied bouts of acceleration to pass the dumb ass people going slow in the left lane.

Got home and my overlays were in, so put them on. Red kittehs!

Looks great & flows well with the calipers.
Bronze to match the wheels would look good too, IMO.

I haven't seen more around my area yet, but I do see a LOT of Daytona's and Scat Packs.

Side rant: I know it's personal preference/uniqueness/etc., but I can't stand that people leave those ugly ass yellow splitter protectors on their cars! 8 out of 10 I see on the road have those stupid things on them. /rant

Yeah, I don't get that either...

And I did see a really nice widebody Challenger Hellcat yesterday in white. Such a sweet road presence.

100% with you on the yellow splitter guards. I saw a pair in the classified on a FB page with a $50 price tag on them the other day. WTF? And people are painting them different colors, which at least hides them a little better, but still. So weird.

fukkin ran the kitty out of gas last night coming home from my oldest's micro controllers class. Made it about a block from where I normally get gas. That damn low fuel warning doesn't last as long on the hellcat as it did my scat pack.

I've pushed my luck a few times but haven't been stranded yet.

In mine my warning light comes on at just under half a tank - I think at 100 miles to empty, but when you're averaging 10-11 mpg it goes fast.

Crazy. I had the light come on the FJ the other day while on the interstate. I was 2 miles from the exit so even with crappy MPGs I knew I could make it.. but still... I hate when that happens. LOL

And here my wife gets annoyed when I yell at her not to wait until her light comes out to get gas....1/4 tank is usually my threshold. Sometimes I get below that but I don't like to.

That's usually how i am too. Hellcat goes through that LOW level a lot faster than the Scat Pack did. When it says there's 30 miles left, it's not playing.

I'm wonder if it cuts fuel to save the pump though. I put about a gallon in it to make it over to the gas station and filled it up with only 16.25 gallons. Specs say a 18.5 gallon tank.

Dude, I feel like the engineers at Cadillac thought it would be a hilarious prank to basically almost not even tell you that you are low on fuel. One beep, one clearable low fuel warning and then VAYA CON DIOS MOTHER FUCKER!

Been driving the hell out of this thing and still love it as much as day 1! Up over 17,000 miles now and still on the stock PZeros, which is a feat in itself, but it's going for new tires tomorrow. Couldn't get anyone to mount 305s on a 9.5 inch wheel, so I went with stock 275 width until I get some 10.5 inch wheels for the rear.

Packed up the family of 5 and drove it to Indiana a few weeks ago. Close to 2500 miles and we averaged right around 25 mpg the whole trip! Did not run out of gas once!

Did a big ass burnout and came back after a few days of rain to see it if was still there.

Drove up to Tennessee on Sunday and took as many curvy roads as possible (in a timely fashion) from GA. Had to run the Tail of the Dragon and buy some images from Killboy.

Foothills Parkway

Driving from TN to MD this weekend and thinking really hard about jumping on the Blue Ridge Parkway in Asheville and taking it all the way through Skyline Drive. If I do that, I'll post more pics!

How does she handle the twisties compared to the SCAT Pack? Thinking about a cruiser type vehicle next year and the Charger SCAT is in my top 3. I know you do a lot of road trips so wondering your thoughts on the car as a road trip vehicle...

The SCAT is an amazing car, especially for road trips! They are comfortable and don't wear you out. With that said, if you can pick up a slightly tickled Charger SRT 392, I would go with that for the adjustable suspension dampening. Scat pack felt about how the SRT feels in sport mode, maybe a bit stiffer, but not as stiff as track mode. SRT in normal mode suspension is awesome for long trips.

As far as handling, the hellcat feels quite a bit more nimble than the scat pack did. Must be how the suspension is set up.

Cruise control at 79-82 and mostly interstate driving is the key. I did manage to drop it a few times when giving friends and family from Indiana a ride in it.
