Glad you were able to finally get one.

The matte bronze wheels are my favorite. They look so good.

Here in town. It's the deal that I had worked up a few months ago that fell through. The floor manager wanted to make my bad experience up to me, which he did!

Do they make smoked side marker kits for those things? If so you should get them.

They do, and I'll be getting those and tint sometime soon. Along with de-badging the DODGE on the back end.

i was just surprised they still had a 2 year old Car in new inventory. Usually factory gives tons of incentives to move the metal

I did trade in my 16 scat pack. They gave me way too much for it so that they wouldn't have to come down too much on the hellcat. I'll never understand the numbers game.

Yes, power sunroof. I would have been fine with no sunroof, but really wanted the carbon stripes and the harmon kardon audio.

First day driving impressions...

For just trading in the same model year scat pack I was expecting it to kind of feel the same with a lot more power...nope.
  • The steering wheel is thicker and the steering itself feels much better since it's hydraulic.
  • Adjustable suspension is awesome. The Scat Pack springs felt about halfway between Sport and Track setting on the SRT, but the SRT is less bouncy.
  • Brakes are touchy as hell and also dust up like fucking crazy. I don't ever plan on tracking the car, so I'll probably change the pads out to something that doesn't dust up so much.
  • Shifting in Track and even Sport mode is pretty violent.
  • Then there is the power, and holy hell there is a lot of it. I'm trying to be pretty good with the break in but had to stab the throttle a few times on the way to work this morning. Sarlacc mentioned that driving the hellcat on dry pavement is similar to the scat pack in the rain with regard to traction and it's pretty damn accurate. The torque this thing creates causes instant wheel spin in first or second when you hit the throttle. It's exhilarating and scary as hell

The brembos have always been notorious for generating a ton of brake dust. Just make sure to wash the wheels regularly to avoid etching.

Thanks for the tip! The brembos on the Scat Pack either didn't dust up as bad or I never noticed since the wheels were black.
