Well the guy that made this isn't a Nissan designer, just a guy that thought up a concept:

If work ever gets underway on another budget coupe, Nissan should seriously pursue Polish designer Iacoski and his interpretation of a 240Z/Fairlady revival.
There is already speculation out there that Nissan won't be bringing back the Datsun moniker. It's too bad, because had they done so with some really nice, cheap sporty cars, it would have competed quite nice with Scion and brought in the tuner crowd of old IMO.

I would love to see a budget... light...."lotus elise" like Datsun... sick idea... as long as they don't over-fatten it and overdo the body work... I say bulid it... I would love to have a light, qwik car... not a fat promise car....

At least the lower part of the front fascia has more details than the GT-R does, which is

But it has the same awkward snout, and the headlights on the GT-R are okay, but on these Datsun, they look off. At least the hood curvature looks better. To each his own indeed
