Talking Fresh USDA Meat

So got some new tires today. It is amazing how two tires of the same size from different companies can fit so differently. I previously had Continental ExtremeContact DW and I loved them but they stopped making them in my sizes I needed. So I switched to Hankook Ventus V12 this time as the M3 community seemed to love them. The new rears look almost like they are 305 I just don't get the gratification of having 305 printed on the side of my tires.

Old tires were a little worn.

Rear jacked up.

ISS Forged

USDA PRIME

Left - Hankook Ventus V12 Right - Continental ExtremeContact DW (Both are 295/25/20)

Definitely going to need to roll the fenders now.

The Hankooks are from Korea.

But they look great. I loved them when I had them on my car.

Fronts were worn into the 2nd layer of rubber and rears down to the wear bars in the middle.

I wish I could say it was a PAM but not on that level yet maybe someday. It is a Lum-Tec M25 Tungsten.

Definitely different sizes between different manufacturers. I was shocked at how heavy some tires are compared to others depending on manufacturer too even in the same tire size.

So finally got around to getting my fenders rolled yesterday. It is nice to have no more rubbing. I should have gotten it done earlier so I didn't have so many scratches on my lip.

Also I am going to need new brakes soon and since I don't know when they were done and I have put 50k miles on them now. I can get 2 piece rotors now and it will cost me 2x as much as 1 piece rotors however from there on out it will cost the same to get the replacement pieces. The 2 piece rotors are only slotted though and the 1 piece rotors are drilled. Already know that I am getting Project Mu NS pads as they create very little dust and stop better than the OEM pads.

It's crazy thinking that your car shares the same platform with something as innocent as the IS250. Yours just looks so much more... crazy.
