I do actually want to tint my windshield like 50% for the summers here. I always wear super dark sunglasses when drivnig so it would be nice to have the tint instead.

Not sure the limit, but I believe it's now legal in TX as well. IIRC, front door limit is 35%. Back doors & windows you can literally spray paint black & be legal.

I know sides and rear are 35%, but the front was very light. I could be wrong and it may require a waiver... I'd have to look it up again.

I had the same question here in TX which still insists on the window sticker (although they're down to only 1 now that inspection sticker is no mas).
For a light "zero" tint (UV only) around the 75% range, they'll make a little rectangular cutout where the sticker goes. It's a transparent enough film that you really need to look to see the cut line.
Or the other way to do it is to tint the whole glass and then use a low-tack sticker, like a phone screen protector, that you can stick the sticker to and then use the low-tack to adhere to the window/film.
OR, a third "cu2wagon" method, is to take the window sticker and marginally de-stickify (it's a word, look it up) it before putting it to the window. Take it and stick it to your jeans a few times to pick up a light coating of lint and dust. Just enough so it'll still stick but not enough to put up a fight coming off.
Then you can just put it up on the window but don't need a razor to get it off.
Uh, and if you don't know, now you know, ninja, uh.

Glad I didn't know about the windshield tint being legal & that my truck already had the doors tinted when I bought it.
Needs a new windshield & just haven't gotten around to it. Will have to replace my EZtag too. Luckily, the TX registration stickers are only sticky on the border, so they're relatively easy to remove & re-stick.

what exactly are they inspecting?
In CA, if you bought the car new, first 5 years has nothing except mail your $$ for a stupid license sticker that anyone can just pull off.
Then you have to get a smog check every OTHER year after 5 years...

that is absolutely true...
so if the end result is going to be wanting more and it not being fast enough.
why not just have that feeling now with a ton more money in the bank?
aesthetics is different because it never stops giving, you will never see your car lowered or on wheels and think, meh, it needs to look better or it was fine stock.
I think.
anyway, paypal me for stage II on cuck. right fucking meow.
