So I was driving the car around by myself this weekend and put it into competition mode. I don't do that often so maybe I made this observation before but when in competition mode does it make the steering feel heavier to any of the rest of you with Vs? To me it has a more direct feel to it. Now I have been driving it that way all the time except when it is wet out.

Now in competition mode I should get a lot more tire spinning action too

i was going to say that, in comp mode it will let you spin the tires.. when my buddy is in comp mode, i'm always able to get the jump on him because spinning's not winning... he can't figure it out but i won't tell him my theory...
btw... my only gripe with the car is that the button is so close to the cruise control that sometimes i accidentally hit the wrong button... you would think they would put the traction button on the dash or near the shifter...

I don't mind it on the steering wheel but I wish there was a button on the steering wheel for choosing sport mode and competition mode and then the rest of traction control settings were somewhere else.

So with Rockstar and Majofo talking about throttle body upgrades for better throttle response I figured this post might be helpful.
On the CTS-V forum there is a thread regarding the trial of a Vitesse Throttle Controller. You can test it for a week with just the cost of shipping. Just received it tonight so only just got it installed but I will report back after some more driving ng with it. So far the use of it coupled with the L7 throttle body is able to make throttle input almost instant. Obviously it is just boosting the signal that is sent to the car. However, with regular around town driving on a low to medium setting it is great. Have some errands to do tomorrow so going to try and throw in some back road driving as well to see how it helps and also test the higher settings.

Andrew was very against that mod.
Can't recall why (I do, it was because I couldn't understand it...he used Science and Logic to explain and I'm too elementary or that).
I'm bi-curious to find out what you dickscover.
Thanks In Advans.

Interesting. I would be curious to know why he is very against it. I haven't thought of anyway it could harm the car.
You come over and dickscover me and I will tell you my Advans findings.

In Sport mode, 25% pedal = 40% throttle (don't know the actual figure, but you get more TB open for less pedal travel)

There are a ton of those products out there. I borrowed a Sprint Booster from a friend and put it on the Genesis a year ago. It just made the throttle too sensitive.
You're not gaining any power. It just amplifies the signal. So pressing the throttle 1/4 way down it like pressing it 1/2 way down.
I'm not a smart man but I can do that myself with my size 13s

Never installed one since it doesn't actually do anything.
IMO - Money is much better spent on breather & exhaust mods

shit, is that what it is? I put it in sport mode immediately in the F150...
makes the damn thing feel so much less sluggish.
Maybe the module is what I DO need just for the "feel" of being lighter on it's feet without messing with anything engine related.

I find the stock Sport mode a little too sensitive, actually been driving in tow/haul the last 2 tanks & have netted a 1 MPG increase

I enjoy boosted throttle even if it is just a programming thing. My DiabloSport tuner allows up to 20% boost to in throttle response. Now that I've gotten used to that when the stock tune is back on it feels extremely laggy.

I get that it doesn't give you more hp. Never was expecting it to. What it does do is eliminate that initial throttle lag. It goes from 0-9. I haven't went above 5 yet and honestly 3 already feels like the sweet spot combined with the LS7 throttle body to eliminate the lag.
J you really should add yourself to the list to try it. All you have to lose is the cost of shipping which with as small as the box it came in is would be $10 or less.

Started reading up on the vitesse and pedal commander...sounds to me like a whole bunch of snake oil and comes back to the point of being able to give it more gas to go faster.
We'll see...I'll sleep on it...thanks for the review, Jason
the only reason I'm considering is that putting my work F150 in sport mode makes the damn thing feel like it lost a 1000 pounds.
I'm curious and may still try it.

Still not sure I will buy one but definitely worth trying it for the whopping $8-10 in shipping it will cost me to send it to the next person.

^^^this... be a man and use your right foot... i'm a value based consumer (read as "cheap bastard") so why would you spend $179 for that mod when you just need to push the gas pedal harder... are you afraid you going to break the pedal??? use the $179 towards something else... like the ported tb... the increased flow will actually give you some ponies...
Here is another way I thought about it this weekend though. Yes you could just push the gas pedal harder. No one is arguing that fact. However, it is like fine tuning your driving style. Maybe you only prefer to use a little pedal modulation while driving a car. The unit has a display to show how much percentage wise you are giving it throttle. It still gives all the same percentages as before just less pedal travel to get them. I am pretty sure race cars all have configurable throttle pedals so really it is kind of like that. Every race car driver may have different preferences to that to dial in for their prefered settings. So isn't this just doing something similar?

Those things are a gimmick. Spend the money elsewhere
