OK, fine… I’ll spill the beans
Let me first say the decision wasn’t easy. The Infiniti has been a wonderful car to drive and has given me 14,000 trouble-free miles. But, like all things in life… Needs change. Priorities change.
<Serious note>
I love my wife more than anything… And as much as I tried and tried to express, what we here all consider easy manual driving concepts, it just wasn’t working. Even if we got to a point where she demonstrated some competency in driving the car, there is no way in hell I would ever feel comfortable with her being alone in the car. Maybe I should have thought about this back in 2003 when I bought it. But I was pissed at Acura regarding the CLS. So I had to get out.
Yes, she has her own car, but why should she be limited to driving just that? Not to mention it’s a Murano, which isn’t the smallest thing in the world. She should have access to a car as well.
She financially contributes to the bottom line, so… She has a right to driving all cars
</Serious note>
With that…
1) See serious note above
2) The resale on the Infiniti is absolutely insane right now. I was presented an option to get into a new vehicle for nothing out of my pocket (they get my car title, I get theirs). And I’d now be covered under factory warranty through June 2009.
3) The Infiniti is not much of a baby-buggy. Nothing is in brewing right now, but I hope it will be soon. So by getting out now, we’re “preparing” for the future and capitalizing on a really good offer (see point #2).
Soooooooooooo…. As of Friday I will be riding around in………..
A 2005 Acura TSX w/ NAVI (5AT)
Carbon Gray/Black
Yes, it’s a completely wild departure from the G, but ya know what??? I’m very excited.
I’ll probably miss the torque and handling at first, but I’m sure I’ll live. Maybe I’m entering a new stage of my life? But I can say that I am 110% committed to this decision and I hope everyone realizes this wasn’t something that I just came up with one day and did on a whim.
So I’ll post up some pics when I get it Friday. Flame away if you wish. I’m ready for it!!!

Nice choice, the decision made perfect sense.........can't ask for an interior nicer than the TSX (at its price point).
My buddy has a blue TSX (auto), he loves it.

Pit Stop?
Congrats
The TSX is a GREAT CAR, currently still built in Japan (IIRC), Acura > Infiniti in terms of interior, but I thought you wanted the Blue? Either way, you got a great color combo!
Again, congrats!
