True, but I make it a habit to not touch my face until I do wash my hands.

The last time I pumped gas was in September , NJ doesn't pump gas so I don't have to worry about getting gas on my hands.

Last year there was a study done about which public surface contains the most germs. The gas pump handle won. Not even the gas station toilet seat had more germs. OP, your question is an interesting one. People are nasty. I normally wash my hands every time I get home.

There is nothing soft about being concerned with germs. We touch our faces and food multiple times a day without even thinking about it. A little bit of caution doesn't hurt. Soap and water is a good thing.

No.

However, when pumping diesel, I typically grab a paper towel and use it to grab the nozzle handle since diesel seems to get everywhere and some gas stations seem to never clean the diesel nozzles.

I don't wash my hands after using the gas pump. I always wash my hands before I eat though. I remember hearing about an urban legend awhile ago where someone with aids pricked themselves and then stick the needle to the handle of a gas pump.

^ I have a suspicion washing your hands afterward would not help in that situation. Like, at.all.

Bunch of pathetic pussies on this forum. Metrosexuals. Don't forget to wax your ass holes and pluck your eyebrows too. I gotta go time for my pedicure.

You should be more worried about the processed and poisoned food you are shoving down your pie hole every day. Your body is full of man made chemicals. A few germs is the least of your worries.
