Buy low sell high. The super rich got out of the housing market when the masses started to get in. They invest in sectors where there is virtually no interest, they get out when people on MSNBC starts to recommend it.

None of those numbers surprise me at all whether it's a Acura, Ferrari, Hyundai, Porsche, Lexus, MB,...
Warren Buffet used to drive a 2001 Lincoln Town car couple years ago and today drive a Cadillac DTS.
Some of the rich are into status symbols, but many are not.

Couple of snippets:
"American Express Centurion Card holders – those people who are rich enough that they are offered a “Black Card” with a nearly unlimited line of credit and a host of other niceties – buy Hyundais at a disproportionately high rate compared with other cars. Indeed, 6% of Black Card holders say they have a Hyundai in the garage. That’s tied with Bentley and Audi. Others on the list: BMW is tops with 22%; then Mercedes with 21%; Porsche with 15%; Lexus, 11%; Ferrari, 8%; and Acura, 7%. That puts a lot of interesting brands below it."
So every other brand is behind, including other premium ones like Aston Martin, Jaguar, Lincoln, Cadillac.
"The average Centurion has $16.3 million in assets and an annual household income of $1.3 million. Krafcik bemusedly mentioned that he has never been offered a Centurion Card invitation."

Honestly, this doesn't surprise me at all. I've always said if I won the lottery or made my fortunes, I would have a number of older, cheap cars for just blending in. I saw a show about people who won the lottery and this one guy who won $200 million or something like that bought a used 1994 Ford Escort Wagon to take girls on dates so they would be in it for him and not the money.

I have had a few customers come in to my store back home and pay with the black card...The card is physically awesome, it has some weight behind it compared to the plastic cards, I was told its made of titanium but not sure.
And there are cards that look pretty close but they are plastic. I see them quite frequently at work.

If I won the lottery, I would buy my Lamborghini and bank the rest....
