VW Jetta is a piece of crap
whats up guys...i have 2 cars, a 99 TL and a 02 VW jetta. I was in a rollover accident on saturday in the jetta (lucky it wasnt the TL). Anyways, nobody was hurt in the accident, however none of the airbags in the Jetta deployed. Not the 2 fronts or the 2 side airbags. Is that normal? Also, anyone know what the value is of a fully loaded 02 TDI jetta with 46K miles? Hopefully the insurance company will give me enough to at least get a decent used car. It will not be a jetta however.

Depends on the airbag senor locations. If the fornt end didn't hit anything, then the fronts are not supposed to off. If you have side airbags, then they should have gone off. I've never been in an accident so I wouldn't know too much off airbags.

Yeah, if the car rolled over the sides should have at least went off. Like MADCAT said, depends on where the sensors are. Usually if you get hit in the rear or the front, the front bags will deploy. Good to know you are ok though.
Also, if you need to find a value, I would suggest kbb.com.

My co-worker had a rollover with her VW cabriolet, no airbags went off either. But everything was fine, though. The bucket handle in the carbiolet's design really kept the car from collapsing into itself when it was on its head.
