Handling and potential are what allow this car to be what it is.

The Lateral G's this car can handle with a few tweaks is nearly a rollarcoaster in your control.

It's like a Supra but with 4WD and exclusivity in the states.

No. Those are put on afterward. Stock exhaust is smaller.

You gotta be kiddin' man. It maybe little bit overrated, but it is one of the best car on road second to NSX-R!!! You should check out those Best Motoring videos where 280hps GT-R keeps up with 420hps Porsche 911 Turbo .

Even in Japan, when it was released, price was around $55k for V-Spec II....but now, it costs more than when it was released because of the premium it has. Now, it cost over $65k for a used one with 17000km!(used V-Spec II Nur costs over $75k)

Mystery ship

I think the styling is uninspired and choppy. The front looks like a Subaru and the rear looks like it's trying to be a Ferrari. Whatever. The performance may be outstanding but the vusual package doesn't do it for me.

In this vein, I saw what appeared to be a G-35 Coupe, black, yesterday, except that it had some sick wheels and tires. Also, it sounded very high performance- almost Ferrari sounding exhaust in a nice V-12 way and it said SKYLINE across the trunk.

I assume this is just a modded G-35??? It was LH drive and looked in all other respects like a normal G-35.

What's up wit dat?

the skyline in japan now is based on the G35 so it was just a modded G

As far as your styling cues on the R34, you have to remember, I think this car premiered in 98, so it's dated.

The G35 here is the Skyline 350GT in Japan.

I rather prefer GT-R to sound like GT-R....not Ferrari...of course, G35 is not GT-R..lol. RB26DETT I6 engine is one of my favorite engines along with C32B of NSX . VQ engines are great....but its not for GT-R IMO.

Watch this and you shall see.

http://video.google.com/videoplay?do...&q=r34&pl=true

I know this one is modified. But watch how it handles the turns.

Everytime I watch this video I get jealous.

Aren't you just tired of having to explain the difference between a Skyline and Skyline GT-R. And that the g IS the skyline of the U.S. market.

After the owner of Motorex got arrested didnt it come to light that none of the R34's in the country are legal?

I had a G35 rebadged as a skyline 350GT and I got the question everywhere I went.. then you get the dumbasses who seem to think the R34 from the fast and the furious was the only real skyline ever made.

DAMN!! I can't believe the guy is selling it.

That car belongs to the owner of Zcargarage in San Jose. That thing is immaculate! He keep that thing very clean. The paint doesn't even have a hint of a swirl in it. He has a few other cool cars as well, but I wonder what is making him sell it now.

Now, honest question, how difficult is it to convert one of these rhd jdm cars to meet US safety standards? And how do able is it? Or is there a loop hole to getting it converted and making it street legal...?

that car is already converted. Motorex just got in big trouble from DOT because they were only allowed to import and convert R33's but were bringing in 32's and 34's as well. Owner just got arrested. I don't think there are any other companies allowed to convert.

You can bring them in under show and race clauses but are limited to a specific mileage per year

I think there is one other company that does Skyline importing. I remember watching Street Fury on G4TV and it had a photoshoot with a white Skyline and the owner of the company that imported the car here. I'm too sure my story is correct though.
