You must be excited to get the car back together and feel the power upgrade! What's your time expected time frame to finish?

Indeed, there wasn't a car in sight

Once the car is built, the only thing that needs attention is brakes .. otherwise .. she's going to be fast and hopefully reliable

Today is actually the last day I'm driving it until I finish, an engine hoist will not fit in the the S2000

I'll miss it for sure, much more comfortable.

Whoops, missed this part of the question:

I can't give you a definite date, but I would imagine the car will be back together before mid November at the earliest. I felt I've planned for this well as far as parts, research, etc, but you can't ever be 100% prepared .. there's always going to be something broken that you didn't notice before lol.

Once it's buttoned up, definitely need to drive it for 250-500 miles to give it a good burn-in before I contact my tuner and throw another 10 PSI at it.

I'm worried about the rear main seal install the most - if you get it wrong, motor needs to come out again .. and it's a lot more common than you think

Tear down process started last night.

Few things to do:

Disconnect fuel lines
Completely remove front clip
Remove intercoolers / hoses
Drain powersteering & coolant
Disconnect heater core lines that go to the back of the engine
Pull both front axles
Disconnect Driveshaft
Remove motor & transmission mount bolts

Oh and - welcome the newest member of the family. A friend of mine was cleaning out his garage and was giving this away for free

Talk about a come up.

Every drawer works / slides and it comes pre-labeled - couldn't pass that up

Best part? My old mini Craftsman toolbox drawers fit perfectly inside of these drawers ... satisfying AF.

With my current OEM ignition system & stock rods, hopefully over 400whp and a bit more torque.

Here's a similar setup - I don't plan on pushing 23-24 psi, maybe around 21psi to increase longevity of everything.

Dat torque

Boost is addicting for sure - I've always wanted to dive into a 1JZ / 2JZ build to satisfy my tuner car itch - more power AND better reliability? Sign me up!

My wife would leave me if I mentioned a second project

Day 2 of the tear down, I had a few friends come over and helped till around 9pm last night. All in all, really fun .. lots of bullshitting but otherwise we got a lot done.

Drained the radiator / powersteering fluid
Removed the front clip
Removed intercoolers / hoses
Removed both axles
Removed alternator
Disconnected the grounds, harness is now completely clear from the chassis

Organized chaos

Only things left to do:

Remove fan on the front of the engine
Remove Driveshaft heatshield & Remove driveshaft bolts
Disconnect transmission & motormounts

We're getting close, right on target to have it out by Saturday
