Comparing batteries is fine if you just want to look but not use it. The real test is who can get the nuts off quickest.

Both are using significant amounts of pineapple though.

Well, you're not wrong. So yeah, must be right.

Sure, but the 4-5 is not that huge of a difference. The thing has a ton of torque with all 3 batteries. My guess is time to run per charge is the main difference.

Yeah really the voltage is going to change the overall torque capabilities, but the ah is mainly for run time.

I'm in a sprint meeting that has nothing to do with my department. The network team is getting reamed for a purported one drive account (new implementation) they claim synced a previous user account on a laptop that was given to a new hire.
There is no way a different user account is seeing someone else's data.
The pointy haired boss is smoking crack.

4am this morning
We have a small "server" room in the building with a small shitty wall AC unit that has needed to be replaced with a real unit that drains correctly.
The networking team is supposed to check it daily.
I checked it today.

"Only" 88 All I can manage is simple quick mods. Rear seat VLEDS in.
So, IT people am I wrong or is this insane:
New CIO is micromanaging literally everything. I bet if he legally could he would schedule bathroom breaks for the techs.
Purportedly we are instituting Intune, a Dell system where they preimage systems put them on our domain, set up user profiles and direct ship. Sounds great right?
It has been 2 months, new systems are arriving at our office, we have been ordered to leave them alone. Ok, we currently have 150 laptops & 250 desktops piling up.
Currently, everyone is virtual except me and my lead. I am there 2 days a week, he is there 3. I have expressed over & over we can't build these things overnight and need a person (preferably the one that is literally only good at checking product in) 5 days so there is not only one person and so this stuff gets dealt with.
Thursday night, he sends a teams message asking if two finance new hires were transitioned from loaners to their new laptops (forget he instituted a rotation of people with seniority getting the new machines and new hires getting the older but functional systems) I had not dealt with that and said so, his response was I should know EVERYTHING in the queue (of every department) and "we'll discuss tomorrow"
I got in the office and although I have 10000 things that are also "priority 1" Did our basic image, domain join & naming of both systems.
I Teams chatted him they were ready for user accounts and he said can they be reverted we have a new process. WTF????
I said yes but that will add an hour and what process? He said we'll discuss in the scrum. NEVER HAPPENED.
We are all ready to walk which I have told my director who is firmly in the "don't want to disagree as I want my job" camp and is worthless. I swear he is doing a Larry Tate impression 20 times a day.

Also, we are "moving to Azure" Forget we have 30 VMs that are legacy and numerous terminal servers that are 2008 sp-0 (slight exaggeration but you get my drift)
We support programs in rural places that need the whitelisted IP of the terminal server to allow access to the providers, I pointed that out to my director and he said we are not going to allow some rinky-dink county in Tennesee dictate to us. Uh they are not going to let us dictate them! (I wanted to say)
We also have a turf war going on, the EHR director is trying to take over IT and has moved to a different ticketing portal we neither use nor have access to and told HR to send the 40-100000 new hires & terms there.
As a result, we had 40 new hires over the last week we did not get and now are getting duplicate tickets from several different departments.
It's such a cluster.

0 I left that other cluster of another mother out!
We use KACE, the team in Atlanta uses ZOHO and that is where all our SCRUM data is so we are doing our user interaction in KACE & COPYING it to ZOHO where we input our hours (in 1 hour increments) so things that take 12 seconds (without the insane duplication) are showing up as an hour.
The EHR team has gone to JIRA and that is making us do 20-40 tickets a day sending them to JIRA because although 1000 emails have been sent telling them to use JIRA they are not.
We have no internal access to the EHR system (Avatar, a legacy pos that needs IE & JAVA and makes our lives miserable but that is a whole other fucking rant.
lol

Jira has a bunch of APIs available that may allow you to automate some of your processes.
But yeah, I'd start looking for something new, and maybe send the chief idiot officer an email outlining every process that is broken and how you'd fix it, and how you've brought this up to your director but he does nothing with it. Best case, you get on his good side and maybe a promotion, good case, you find a new job that's less of a micromanaged clusterfuck.

I'm too old for that shit. If I go anywhere it would be retirement.
JIRA automation is part of the problem, they are creating tickets they should not.
As far as suggestions, he only wants us to do what he says. (much of which is contradictory)

Here is a perfect example, today he attacks me because his new process is broken. All calls are going through Teams, Teams shows voicemails as unseen if YOU have not looked at them. If someone else looks & deals with it YOU (anyone else) do not know that. So he picks 20 from between Wednesday & today and says we need to make tickets I say I know 12 are already tickets and 7 are resolved. HE DOES NOT GIVE SHIT 1.
I say three are background noises, 6 seconds of dead air and one is a background conversation for 3 minutes no care.
So I order a very unhappy tech to get them done and suggest a different process than his that would shave a minimum of 45 seconds off the job, he says who cares about 45 seconds. (um we should not waste 9 minutes on just these 20)?

I'm 59, not going anywhere but retirement. I'm ready to go TODAY. wife wants to stay at least 5 years. They can fire me, I have the ammo & $/time to fight for a hefty settlement (years down the road)
QFT. it sucks
0& I left out starting today the hourly people are clocking in/out in Teams and the director is transferring it to Paylocity (they switched from ADP a few years ago, it's such a hassle)
I predict that will last a month at most but will enjoy not dealing with the team pay sheets as long as it lasts.

I do, however, like the "shared" excel via Teams.
that's a cool feature!
also the remote viewing/shared desktop. that's cool too!
the shared excel file would help out with who answered/solved the ticket problem.
create an ongoing spreadsheet and techs can initial off and document what they did

It is fine for collaboration, video meetings, chats etc. Interacting with a team. It is not for ticketing, call handling, employee babysitting (they are monitoring active/away status and trying to use it as a leash.
He thinks he can fully scrum break-fix still. The guy is nuts, he proved that to me when he did a Larry Tate double-take with we need to be more efficient/ I don't care about saving 45 seconds on a repetitive process that will happen a minimum of 40 times a day. (210 hours a week)!

My place is a g suite/slack/zoom shop. I can't stand teams.
But yeah your company sounds completely fucked up. I'd just keep challenging him (as long as you have proof) to force them to fire you.

He is a software developer. He thinks everything can be planned and clearly has no clue as to break-fix or anything to do with it, customer service, or management.
He is arrogant and crazy demanding. I sent an email asking for specific input as to what he wants. I gave specific contradictory incidents that happened from him and the response I got was a list of issues that he thinks are our fault but serve to prove he has no clue of how badly he has fucked up.
It could not be more self-damaging if I had written it.
I am honestly fine either way, I'd be ok being fired, it would give me the time to sue them.
