that just reminds me.. i know you said you are not going to tune it, but at least you will give it some blackened treatment outside right?

If the car was white or any other car, i probably would not be happy without the CF roof... but since it is blackish... it is not that noticeable that you dont have it

If the entire handle isn't chrome then yeah you probably would need to do the door handle inserts too.

Yeah, it's just the chrome strip down the middle; the rest of the handle is body color. Maybe I'll poke around on M5Board and see what people have done for solutions.

I was thinking about the side and the kidney and of course Tintz...
I think the chrome pieces on the door handle actually look good, dont know why. ... and i hate chrome...

Well, it's convenient newer M cars come with an inflator kit...ran over a nail last night.

Did it work? I have heard they dont do anything to inflate the tires...

Congrats on the new ride! These are definitely now into the range where us mortals can afford them. Any big concerns on reliability or any major gotcha's with the F10?

I should look into one of those inflator kits, the C has no spare & no inflator. OE is runflats & those when for some non-RFTs.

I had some experience with the inflator kit in my CTS-V and I don't want to be a naysayer but I will never use it again.
I'd rather buy a fucking small spare and throw it in for road trips and just keep a plug kit with me with an old set of pliers to pull out a nail (although if you have a nail it's probably holding air).
Then just use the inflator itself to get back running until you can take it to a shop to properly patch it.
The gooey stuff got on the wheel and was more than a pain in the ass to remove, I actually think it stained the wheel.
then you have to figure you've now thrown off the balance on that one tire and then your tech will have a bitch of a time when it comes time to swap tires.
I literally will never use that again...
for a soccer mom that doesn't know cars and needs to get somewhere safe, fine...
but for a car guy, nope.

It looks like T is close to needing new rears on his anyways
My wife ran over something with the V in the first week of driving.
Puncture was so bad it needed two plugs.
She parked in an open lot and I shot over and did my magic.
They were F1s with only a few thousand miles on them.
Hell nah am I going to replace them
I ran those tires double plugged til the cord showed.
They were great tires, would buy again 10/10
Anyways.. carry a decent portable air compressor, pliers, plug kit, razor blade, and glue.
I even patched a sidewall puncture. The tire eventually bubbled, but it'll save your ass.
I haven't needed to run the spare in forever.
I'd say a good tire kit above will usually keep you on the road without one.
But the day you think you won't need one, you will.. Murphy's law.
Buy a decent plug kit.. I always but the ones with handles..
One of the kits I bought was complete garbage.
The handle broke on me first use.

Dude yes! T handle for sure...
to be able to really get leverage and shove that bitch in while it's still on the car at a weird angle.
and get this...check your spares if you have them...in the A3 I blew a tire...threw on 13 year old spare that hadn't been checked...
blew that bitch on the way home too (which led to a debacle)...
this weekend my neighbor and I were fuckin with the S4 and he said he checked my spare and it had 11psi...I was like bro, thank you.
About plugs and patches...in a week I ended up with fucking nails in the sidewall of two of my rear contis...I plugged them...one of those
then developed a bubble in the side...I took car in to get alignment at Acura where I got scolded by my buddy for the condition of the tires.
When it was done aligning, he said let them wash it for you...him and my other buddy told them, this customer is anal...hand wash...don't run
it through the machine carwash...the carwash company kid did anyway and what do you know, caught the edge of the metal wheel guard
and put a giant tear in one of the rear tires. Guess who bought me an entirely new PSS Michelin (I paid for the other 3 and labor to mount/balance)
my fucking dumb luck

And every time you go to the shop and you need to replace one tire..
They always be suggesting to replacing the other too, correct?
Turn that shit back on them..
In the least be like, look at this bubble you created in my other tire too..

or if you have Amex or AAA and have it towed to the near tire store. That is what i do. I dont wanna stand on the side of the road or in a parking lot waiting for the tire to inflate when it is 110 outside. (Yesterday we were at 105). I would rather sit in the car with AC waiting for a tow trunk while playing my game

Golf doesn't have a spare either, just inflation/sealer kit and IDGAF. Just call a tow truck and get it taken care of. To be honest, I haven't used the kit yet so can't speak to how good/bad it is.

Calls tow truck
Middle of nowhere, no cash, wait all night
Wrecker shows up, doesn't take card
Tire's not going to fix itself
Nor will tow truck driver's dick suck itself
There's only one thing you can do about it
Make sure you seal it real good
Don't want a blowout
