Oh, I definitely got to enjoy it. I've said before, I would have kept it forever if I'd had the money to keep it up. It was a great deal of fun to drive. Mine wasn't anything like the one in the video. It's just that it did require a lot more maintenance than any other car I've owned and when it broke, it tended to break big.

The 2003 Honda Pilot Family Truckster has 204k miles on it and was dying. Replaced it over the weekend with this:

2016 Acura MDX Base, White Diamond Pearl, Parchment interior, 21,350 miles, $28k at CarMax. Thing is immaculate.

RPhilMan1 03-11-2019 01:34 PM

Solid car, congrats!

JT4 03-12-2019 06:04 AM

Congrats on the MDX..

CCColtsicehockey 03-12-2019 06:45 AM

Congrats on the MDX. It should be able to challenge the Pilots mileage by the end of its life.

rockstar143 03-12-2019 06:46 AM

Can't go wrong with an MDX and quite an upgrade from an 04 Pilot.

CLtotheTL32 03-12-2019 07:03 AM

That's definitely the plan.

Boy, you got that right. There's nothing that isn't better on the MDX.

SuperTrooper169 03-13-2019 10:15 AM

Congrats! Love the MDX styling.

JS + XES 03-22-2019 12:58 AM

That's an epic upgrade. Congrats!

Majofo 03-22-2019 05:18 AM

Sweet.. I'd consider removing the side bump guards.. might still be early enough to do so.

juniorbean 03-22-2019 08:24 AM

Congrats! Definitely a worthy replacement and I'm sure it will last you just as long, if not longer than the Pilot.

:ponder: So, now T's wife & son both have cars faster than his, do I have that right?

ttribe 05-07-2019 03:15 PM

So, today I met up with a long-time friend of mine for lunch. He's very much a hard-core car guy. He's a also a long-time Porsche-phile; he's had a very custom 914 (with a 911 engine) in his stable for many years. Today, he rolls up to lunch in this flawless '89 964 with dozens of subtle but wonderful custom touches. Absolutely fantastic car.

Wow that is super clean and stunning looking.

rockstar143 05-07-2019 03:57 PM

I would fuck that car, dude.
No offense to your buddy. He can watch.
Wow, that thing is gorgeous.

I don't think he'd be offended...you might have to get in line after him.

oonowindoo 05-07-2019 04:09 PM

I dont know how much it is worth, but it looks expensive.

I didn't ask and he didn't volunteer, but I'm pretty sure it's worth every penny he paid. It's really that good.

rockstar143 05-07-2019 04:45 PM

well, especially if he bought it a long time ago.
That's a car to hang onto. Wow.

Well, bought it yesterday, but still a great purchase.

rockstar143 05-07-2019 06:05 PM

I misread it...
didn't realize he just bought it.
Either way, none of our business but man.
Sexy.

Yumcha 05-07-2019 09:22 PM

Can I meet your friend for...coffee?

iforyou 05-08-2019 12:30 AM

Whoa that's really clean! These are worth so much now.

SuperTrooper169 05-08-2019 11:20 AM

Absolutely beautiful! I've loved white Porsches ever since I had a "Jazz" transformer as a kid. Just so clean and classic.

The picture doesn't really show it, but this one is actually in a color called "Dolphin Grey".

Oh wow now that I went back and looked closer yeah I can see that. I don't think I've ever seen that color before.

I'm not exaggerating when I say it is an incredibly unique and well-done classic 911. It's not my story to tell, so I won't go into detail, but this car quite literally landed in his lap after he had seen it in a garage in his neighborhood for YEARS.

rockstar143 05-08-2019 12:16 PM

Is he ever gonna come tell us this story?
:poke:
I'll get the smores, you stoke the fire.

ttribe 05-12-2019 10:35 PM

It was time for the pre-summer clay, polish and wax...

I'm so jealous of your backdrop.
Car looking good, man...
Nice that you keep up with waxing.
I do it about 3 or 4 times a year in FL. That sun is no joke.

CCColtsicehockey 05-13-2019 12:15 PM

Did you help those people up on the rock. They look like they might be stuck up there.

Hmmm, maybe that's why they kept waving at me...

CLtotheTL32 05-13-2019 03:18 PM

Looks fantastic!

oonowindoo 05-13-2019 04:14 PM

How do you keep your headlight from Oxidizing, especially in AZ?

Occasionally, use an off-the-shelf headlight polishing kit.

oonowindoo 05-13-2019 04:27 PM

Ic... i have tried many off the shelf ones or even sanding... none of them worked... it worked but the fade always came back after a while.

Does your car get left outside a lot? My car is always garaged at home and at work; I'm sure that has a lot to do with it.

00TL-P3.2 05-13-2019 04:56 PM

:pimp:
Wish we had a garage at work.
The office at the end of our building has covered parking, us peons park outside like beasts.
