Many people are sentimental toward their car and it's worth it to them to keep enjoying it. I completely understand.

Tim's car is a beauty.

Tim is salty that he does not own a brown old audi a3.
That is the real problem here.

Tim, you thinking about doing any of those diy leather repairs? Contemplating doing it to my gf's vw van seat...it's pretty beat up.

I am thinking about it. I've done a little research, but need to do more before I decided what I might try.

Uhhh, Yummy, I'm not sure what you think I was saying I would research, but I was referring to leather repair solutions; not new cars.

And, as to MB, I considered them when I was first looking at my M5. I think I've decided they're just a little too ostentatious for my preferences.

I definitely balked at an MB for that same reason. Probably not reasonable compared to an Audi, but there's something about that three pointed star that makes me a bit uncomfortable.

BMW Performance 19", Style 269. I've wanted these wheels for five years, but they were always so expensive; $3,000 just for the wheels (no tires, no caps, no TPMS). I found this set, brand new, with brand new tires, with center caps, with TPMS, mounted and balanced and free shipping; $800 cheaper than just the wheels going back the whole time I've been watching them. Couldn't pass this up.

which size did you get? i believe 269 comes with 2 different sizes for the 19" (5 series/3 series). Are they forged?

Going to be a couple of weeks. Taking the car for a spirited mountain run the day after Thanksgiving and I prefer to stick with the wheels and tires I know, especially at their limits.

I'm currently running 10MM on the back and nothing on the front. Probably keep it that way since the offset and widths are identical to my 18s.

Good looking wheels but not sure they are real. I don't see butter, bacon, and waffles in the picture.
