To be fair, it's got an AM front, Ferrari side vents, and a Fiat rear. I just think the headlights and front grill look more AM than anything.

mmafighta 07-22-2012 04:34 PM

Wow for a car that is over 4 years old and 37K miles..It's in immaculate condition, inside and out. Great pick up

Although I do like the Genesis, glad you went back to BMW!

DISRUPTV 07-22-2012 08:07 PM

TTribe,

I know you have been going thru some tough trials and tribulations but I hope everything has worked out and in the end you are happy..congrats on the e93 and best of luck with it...

I recommend three must do mods..

1. tint windows
2. front oem lip spoiler
3. Cobb Flash

Prior to my current M6 I had a z435is and the cobb tune made that car a beast...its done thru the obd port by the brake pedal and can be installed and uninstalled in minutes

If you plan on doing any suspension work...do coilovers and spacer and you will be all set

Best of luck boss!

CLtotheTL32 07-22-2012 11:05 PM

yes, you need tints.

The Gen rode very much like a previous generation Lexus LS in terms of suspension and handling. Interestingly enough, it had a VERY heavy steering wheel
A very heavy steering?! The E9X has one of the heaviest steerings and I love it this way, because it is also very self-centering and precise. It talks to you. The F30 has a much lighter steering that is not as much liked or communicative.

See people always say that many buy BMW because of the badge. Its more to it than just that. You get emotionally attached to them even if its a simple daily driver.
Yeap. Once you really enjoyed BMW cool-aid, it is somehow difficult to adopt cool-aid from the competition. It goes so much more beyond figures on paper.

Now with a Coupe and children, OP's next focus is likely to be the Pilot. Very soon.

I think I've had enough of you in this thread; please refrain from participating going forward.

CLtotheTL32 07-23-2012 08:57 AM

Saintor you couldn't help yourself could you? :whyme:

Sorry ttribe.

Anyways, how is the car treating you? The family enjoying the convertible experience?

The car is excellent. Took it for a morning drive on my own on Saturday morning and a good (therapeutic) time. Sunday, my 7 yr. old son made me put the top down for the drive home from church.

CLtotheTL32 07-23-2012 09:49 AM

That is awesome! Congrats once again :)

jayhawk815 07-23-2012 11:01 AM

Wow, and here I thought I'd been keeping up with everything. Last I knew, you still had the M5! Congrats on getting the 335 'vert!

I can relate (as many others of course can too)to changes in personal situations requiring a downgrade in vehicles. My turnaround probably won't be nearly as quick, but hopefully I'll be able to do the same here in a couple years!

juniorbean 07-23-2012 11:38 AM

Good thing the title was edited or I would have missed the fun!

Congrats on the new purchase and welcome back to the German side :D

mrmako 07-23-2012 01:26 PM

Very nice pick OP. The color looks good. hope she gives you a lot of years (or weeks) of good use (until you trade again).

srika 07-23-2012 01:50 PM

nice on the 335i Tim! I'm glad it turned around for you.

TylerT 07-23-2012 02:05 PM

This thread got me thinking ...

335i will most likely be my next car.

To give you an idea, this is a tune/dci & I think IC, 335xi on 15psi boost.

Moodist 07-23-2012 03:20 PM

You should get in on the Cobb Group buy:

srika 07-24-2012 01:08 AM

I think he may be trying to pull a Moneyman on us!!!!!!!!!!!!!

it won't work, ttribe!!!!!!!!

Hapa DC5 07-24-2012 01:27 AM

You can't trust anyone's pics anymore without waffles. Moneydouche ruined for everyone!

Majofo 07-24-2012 07:31 AM

T sent me a picture of him driving the M5, eating a bacon waffle sandwich, holding a stick of butter, going 150MPH

Very far from :rip:

Nah, 15psi is the sweet spot for the stock turbos. With catless dps and meth, 18psi is very reasonable midrange tapering down to 14 approaching redline.

I have 52k miles on the car and it's been tuned since 15k. Plenty of people are running the same psi on the turbos without issue.

Majofo 07-24-2012 08:07 AM

I'd still be wary.. I've heard horror stories.
