TSX vs. is300

Ok so my parents are looking into a new car, and wanted my suggestions. They're thing is that it has to have a navi, and be reasonably comfortable. So now I'd appreciate you're opinions on the TSX and the is300. I know that the lexus is more expensive, but on cars-direct.com there is a discount or something going on for them, so a is300 with navi and the "Power and Leather" package is about $1000 more than a TSX with navi. So what do you guys think?

Both nice ass cars. Personally, I'd get the RWD Lexus.

TSX is to hot! real nice... still it is a 4-banger but a real good one.. I test drove a 6-speed... and you will be doing some 90 MPH without feeling it!

yea my dad is intent on getting a manual...which of course works out for me since I'll therefore be borrowing it a lot

what about in terms in interior? How do the 2 compare?

My wife and I drove both. 2003 IS300 is now in the garage. Only thing I will warn you about the Lexus, it is a gas hog. Best I have gotten in 3000 miles is 23.5mpg. But it sure is one sweet engine

As far as I know, most(not all) older people pay more attention at torque and comfortable ride than handling, so IS300 would be a better choice. However, TSX has a better interior and a more suitable exterior styling for mature people. So this is a tough choice. I would say why not wait a month more for the all new TL here, that would be a better choice for your parents I think. V6, more comfy ride, more classy look, although its price would be higher than that of TSX for sure, but it's worth the wait in my opinion.

IS300 - RWD, smooth torquey I-6, nice styling.

TSX has a better interior though. I'd personally go with the IS300

I'd go with the IS300. Sorry but Acura needed to put a bit more power in the TSX.

I would push the Lexus, it looks nice too. But go for the TSX if ya dont wanna see ya lexus every mile. Then again, the TSX is prolly gonna do that after a little while anyway.

IS 300. You can get a great deal on em too. 2.9% with outstanding credit and loaded ones for like 30-31k. Lexus is willing to deal on them.

Lexus hands down if you can afford it, they are in different price ranges. lexus has the best service and best quality. I owned one for 7 years with out a problem same with my mom, dad and many of my friends. Dont get me wrong I like my car and acura has its share of problems but less than most cars.

The TSX has one of the nicest "affordable" interiors I've seen to date. Although for only 1G more, I'd get the IS300. ESPECIALLY if you plan to mod it.
