I got the Shifts

Need me to come there and show you?
I'll see if I can get my camera set up to video record my hands shifting while clutch/brake/gas to demonstrate...It's actually really easy to do it in the Lotus. BUT the kind of shoes/sneakers you wear makes a big difference too, keep that in mind. I have Piloti's that do not work well in this car because the pedals are too close together but work well in my Mini, then again I have a pair of Puma's that work well in the Lotus, as well as your typical loafers from Rockport.

So I attempted to mount the wheels/tires, and 3 of the 4 tires were flat (after I inflated them to the proper pressure earlier today). I filled up one tire again to see where the air was coming out, and it was coming out of the valve stem. We tightened it as much as possible, but no good. I'm not sure if it wasn't properly seated, or if they are bad, and I'm not in the mood to dismount and remount them. I'm probably going to replace all 4 tires because they are competition tires that I probably won't put to good use. We've been getting so many random rain storms, I need something that's going to handle the wet should I need it, so I'll replace them with a more suited tire and take care of the valve stems at the same time. Oh well.
But this was how it looked:

There's some sort of t-top kit for the Elise?
sorry to hear about the tire though. Nothing bums me out like working on a car only to find out there's no feasible way you will finish any time soon. Bet it sounds good though, and will look good too once it's all said and done

I was looking into these and found some used ones for relatively cheap. However, they have around 25K-30K miles on them, how reliable are these cars when the miles start racking up? Is it worth it to buy used as opposed to new?
Shoofin, I am usually not a fan of yellow cars but your Elise looks sexy I may have to reconsider that color.

The exhaust is definitely a lot louder than I expected it to be...I'm doing a "royal flush rally" tomorrow, there's over 100 cars participating, it's a fundraiser for a cause. It should be fun!

It's custom made. Quite expensive to boot...
A few pics from today's Royal Flush Rally:
Is this the coloring you're talking about on the exhaust, E?
It's the first time I ever did a rally. There were 121 cars participating. Link to info HERE I thought it would be a liesurely cruise, but I was pretty wrong. There were moments where I was going 120 for more than a few minutes at a time on the highway just trying to keep up with the other maniacs. One thing about the Elise, it's a quick car up until about 80. Above that, things take a little longer. Then again it could be that I never downshifted to accelerate, I just let the car accelerate in 6th to get to thos speeds to keep up. There must have been a handful that got pulled over for speeding, and one car wiped out but did not get damaged as much as expected ('92 Dodge Stealth Turbo). All in all, it was a fun event, I just wished these other dudes would be a little more careful. My car definitely got a LOT of attention, with people taking a ton of pics of my car, as well as asking a lot of questions about it. I'm scanning the webz to see how many times I can find my car from today's event.
The moment was when I was going about 90 at some point to keep up with the crowd, all of a sudden I see a bumblebee on the passenger seat of my car. It must have gotten caught in the stream of air flying over my car at speed. It's trying to fly but the wind keeps pushing it down to the seat. At some point it gets in the air and lands on my lap. At this point I started to freak out. It still kept trying to fly, and then made it down in the footwell where my feet were driving. It eventually made it's way back up the driver's door and got whipped out from the jet stream.
I drove a little over 300 miles today, and spent about 11 hours with the car (including the stops we made). I think she needs a little rest..

Here's the main link where most of the pics and video's are: http://www.euroaddiction.net/forum/r...eo-thread.html
There's a bunch of video's out there, some people still editing and adding though.
Here's 2 that I liked:
This one is very well edited, IMO - this dude filmed me a lot, but have no idea why I'm not seen on it. I think he's working on other video's to add though:

And in this vid, the dude saved the best for last - my car..but not a moving shot, a still image..
