You're right the MPV is a POS.

But did you happen to notice the better resale value of the Odyessey by a few thousand dollars?

Kelley Blue Book Price $11,500 - $13,350
2000 Mazda MPV
Kelley Blue Book Price $8,125 - $9,550
Yes, the Ody has a higher used price, but didn't the Ody cost thousands more when they were both new?

Both vans have come a long way. It's nice to see that the NEW MPV is on the UP and UP. no argument there. It's got a lotta sweet features. But I'd still put my dollar on the odyessey. You'd put your dollar on an MPV. nothin wrong with that.
I'm just stating my opinion that whatever Honda MAY come up with (who knows right now) could have the same or better features than the new MPV. Is that so wrong?

EDIT: just checked....WAY more HP. The MPV has 170hp...the 2000 ody has 210hp...but in2001 went up to 225hp.
Older MPV are small inside.

I would drive a minivan if the situation warranted and the Ody would be at the top of my list, minivans do have a stigma and it takes a man with no balls OR a man very comfortable with the size of his gonads to drive one. At 17 I could never see myself driving a wagon or the rather new at the time minivan in my life, now there are several wagons I would love to drive...go figure.
90% of SUVs on the road could be replaced with minivans and in each case they would be a more sound fiscal decision, but cars don't work like that for many people. If it weren't for the fact I need towing ability and fire road level off road ability in one of my vehicles I would own a minivan or a wagon.
