Toyota forum sites are getting shut down SUED from Toyota

Per the other sites I was on reading about this. Honda/Acura is also considering doing this. Watch out everyone.

Biased of course, but this forum certainly seems to be one of the better run enthusiast sites out there. Hopefully Acura won't get overzealous...

I think that's when/why -zine was added. Used to be Acura-TSX.com, etc IIRC.

I understand how that makes sense, but if the site is set up well and informative, isn't it basically free positive advertising?

I am speaking from my own experiance, because this site helped sell me on my TSX. I was able to find a lot of info on the car along with actual owners perspectives. Anyways, i just thought i would share my on the topic...

we changed to acurazine, because competitors kept registering acura- domains, so we decided to create an umbrella brand that would encompass all of our various - domains, and to allow us to easily add forums as new models/designations come out.

the toyota forum is not getting shut down, they likely have to sign a contract stating they have permission from Toyota to use the Tundra trademark in their name. It's unlikely Toyota will charge them any fees. Toyota has to enforce their trademarks, because if it goes unenforced for a specific length of time, the trademark could be considered null and void.

Ok, I tried to go to toyotanation tonight and it's not working. Has it really been shut down, or is the site just having a problem?

Reason being, my sister bought a used '05 Corolla and has "lost" one of the hubcaps. I was trying to find one for her, but I don't know what they look like and I don't know any sites for Toyota parts. She lives in DC and I'm in Jersey, so I can't just go out and see what the hubcap looks like. Can anyone help me out?

are you one of those Honda for life fanboys? Thats a pretty bold general statement to make that Toyota sucks when in fact they are one of the larger leading car manufacturers in the world. Have you ever even owned a Toyota? And if you have, what are your basis to say that Toyota sucks cause I would love to hear why. Even as a toyota owner, I was never one to put down Honda...except for the fact that they are always torqueless wonders
I own a TSX now, my last 2 cars have been toyota products, that I boosted the hell out of on stock blocks and did dam well holding the power down...no, it wasnt a supra or MR2
