Unions are draging US economy down cuz their products are not competitive at all.
Nowhere else in America can an industry suffer losses and still afford to give their employees raises on a consistent basis.

Parents have a 2004 max, it has been in the shop 5 times for rattles / noises. They got it mostly fixed after replacing:
Entire powersteering system
Glove Box
Most of the Center Console
Some pulleys and belts
Still one HELL of a car though

Kid tax! 1st 2 children free. 3 and more get charged. We'll keep a national registry of kids at schools so that we can keep track. Home schooling like the Quakers will the the only way you can escape this one.

Oh and I blame unions and corporate beuracracy for the average products that Detroit has been putting out for years.
funny how the tables have turned and now the american car makers are copying the japanese

Was it the president of Japan that (during Bush Sr's admin) called American workers "fat and lazy"? I think we've come a long way since then...but we're no where near the discipline of Japan. We're the country with the most freedom...which means we're free to be lazy.

Union today is the biggest drag in the economy and main reason manufacturing jobs are oursourced:
They treat everyone with the same wages and do not reward higher productivity
They protect underperforming individuals who cheat on timesheet, medical leave, and excuses for poor performance
They go against productivity improvement that could cost them their job, regardless of any improvment in quality
Their wages and raises are automatic, regardless of whether you are responsible or irresponsible, whether you improve your skill or not
They have no disipline whatsoever. Got a problem with your manager? File a complain to the union, not your boss.
And worst of all, they are paid higher than engineer by default, which do not encourage them to work hard at all.
