Totalled my TL...bought a CLK430
My girlfriend recently totalled my TL, so i went car shopping and bought a 99 CLK 430 for $24,500, it's damn good deal since it's only $700 over wholesale. Is there an online forum for the Mercedes? I'm planning on 19", lower, and tint and I'll be pimping!!

i know at manheim a MY00 coupe goes for around 26,000 with average mileage - i thought about getting one, i would leave the factory blue tint on it

My neighbor has been showing up in MercBs lately. FIrst a blue S400 series coupe and now a silver MB Coupe with Canada plates. Has no badges, I think it is a C Coupe, looks very nice for a C Class. It could be an E Class coupe. Looks too nice for a C, but not quite as big as an E. I'm stumped.

I've seen used '99s at our local dealer that look like they could be sitting on the showroom. If it's been taken care of, paying less than half of MSRP is an absolute steal.

if he bought an excellent clk 430 great for him he got a well kept car...but the cars I found here in NY for a 99' would have been beaten up. but thanks for your interest in the matter
can you buy a $50K car for $24K with low miles and excellent condition can you buy it for $15K ....pretty safe to say yes you can but what are your chances. I purchased an 02' with 9K miles and no I didnt pay $49K what the dealer advertised...... but the car is like new so I got a great deal on it..
