Point two: I doesn't matter if you agree or not. That does not change the fact that a 2008 or better Infiniti G37 and a Nissan Skyline are the exact same car in different markets. Not, 370Z / G37 exact. I mean exactly the same. It's not poser if someone wants to swap the badges on a G to put it's other name on it. I wouldn't do it, but whatever. "Poser" is placing badges on cars that clearly misrepresent what the car is.
Point three: "JDM" (<< click for wikipedia article) does not apply here. The G37 / Skyline is manufactured in Tochigi, Japan. The ones that wear the G37 badge are shipped. The ones that wear the Skyline badge are not.

Lately I've been noticing a lot of Camrys and Corollas are driving like dick bags on the roads.
Its like they are over compensating for the fact they bought an economy car so they try and make up for it by zig zagging through traffic as fast as they can.
Kinda like older Maximas.

Did you go to Japan and buy it from a Nissan dealer? No? Then STFU, it's not a Skyline. Trying to pretend your car is something that it isn't is the very definition of poseur.

Whats up with RDX owners?

What model does the title specify? Then thats what the car is.
The G37 you own is a vehicle that was destined for the NA market, meeting all US standards. Therefore, it is a USDM vehicle. Just as a JDM Skyline is intended for the Japanese market.
Thats like saying a Breitling and a Casio use the same movement, so they must be the same watch. Bullshit, one is a fucking Casio.

They are the same damn car. Its no different than an Integra wearing a Honda badge or an Acura badge. ORRRRRR an RSX and Integra.
Same damn car...different badges...

I don't believe in it. Personally it's not my money and not my car though so they can do as they please. Would I re-badge my car a Skyline 370? No.
I shake my head at a lot of things; add rebadging a car to the list. I wouldn't lose any sleep over it though....
I'll play devil's advocate here; the person who re-badges their car with all the JDM stuff and only uses it for shows, never drives it on the street, is he/she a DB?

In the case, of the G/Skyline, you do. There are no differences between the 2 besides the standards they meet for each country, which 99% of people wouldn't even be able to tell apart.
Anyone in the US with a G37 technically also owns a Nissan Skyline. Same with the NSX if you wanted to place a Honda badge on it. The only reason these cars aren't wearing Nissan/Honda badges is because who in the US would honestly pay the asking price for these cars under those brands?
I doubt anyone would buy a $40,000+ Lexus GS if it remained as a Toyota Aristo in the US. It's a little niche we Americans helped start because we thought any Japanese manufacturer asking for such an amount of money would be out of their minds. But thankfully, companies like Hyundai are finally starting to end that train of thought.

^^ They do like to pay for that Nissan GT-R

Because it's a $70,000 car that performs like a $200,000 car. Nissan got in on the market the Z06 has been in for years; the budget supercar. The GT-R name plate alone, though, also has a large amount of history behind it, so it's not exactly some random $70K Nissan that popped up out of nowhere.

But like everything else I've said, it's an opinion. Do what you want, so long as you don't care what others think of it.

Seem to think I have a beef with Nissan or the G in particular. I'd think the same thing if someone took an 81 Chevette and put Pontiac badges on it.

If owning a Lamborghini means I need to be a douche (i.e. pop my collar, pucker my lips, and get a bad tan...), I'm all for it.
Where's the sign-up sheet...?

I'd love to see Nissan sell the Skyline Coupe (G37) here. It would sell.

No its not.
Putting a SiR badge on your Civic SI is claiming something you don't have...
Putting a Firebird badge on your camaro is claiming something you don't have.
Putting a Nissan Skyline Badge on your American Infiniti G37 Coupe because its the exact same car with another name in another country is saying here is my car with its optional name.
ITS THE SAME DAMN CAR. Its not a twin, there is no difference in sheet metal or engineering. SAME CAR.
