Probably 70% of the miles I drive are on the highway with the cruise control on. Even "city" driving for me means 2-lane, 45 and 55mph roads. I don't sit in a lot of stop and go traffic.

Don't worry, I do some heavy-footed runs on the back roads

Tyler, I know your mod schedule...but I highly recommend you think about this.
Those pictures are mad fyah...gorgeous...love...amazing.

Put the Tint and Lip on hold...and get these. If I were not so hellbent on getting coils (helped that I got my street performance coils for $700...)...I would have totally gone back with these springs and called it a day. The fenders can't take slammed and these springs gave the car the perfect DRIVEABLE stance IMO.

Evasive Motorsports | PH: 626.336.3400 Mon-Fri, 9am-6pm PST: Espelir Active Super Down Springs - Honda S2000 00+

Doesn't break the bank, either.

look at that...it's perfect
Thanks J! It felt good getting the camera back out

That drop is perfect. Were you running spacers with that setup? Any rubbing? I've read tons about relocating fender tabs and such, and I would prefer not to deal with that. I think Tyler has those on his GPW and he's said good things about them. I'm certainly not opposed to buying those, but I really want that front lip

Front lip and the side strakes and the rear spoiler are a must IMO. I just love that look, personally.

I did have spacers and eventually did roll, but no, when I had the car like that, I did NOT have a roll and was not rubbing at all. I had 15/20MM front and rear and was fine. I hear that 15/17 is a guaranteed no rub though, according to Dennis.

Mind you, this is stock tire sizes though.

So, realistically...although the lip and spoiler look great...that's not going to make the BIGGEST visual impact (and enjoyment of driving it on those curvy roads...a little lower, would make that even better) right off the bat.

$215 for the springs
$130 for the spacers

you probably can get them installed/aligned for free at work (maybe a couple of big macs and a handy)

So...$345...

Tyler likes to do his homework and will never be pressured into it. That much I know...just trying to show him that with very little cash, he can make the car drive much better and look much better.

I'd have had no problem with the springs...in hindsight and my goal to keep the car very driveable I should have saved the 500 bucks and gone with just the espelirs, myself.

Congrats! Sounds like it's just getting past the break in period. And lol, I do the same thing with pics.

Did you say you were planning on getting a rear spoiler? If so, let me know where you end up going with. I really want to add the OE look rear spoiler on. It really finishes up the look of the car.

Damn J, thanks for all of the links and such!

Sam, I'll probably go with the spoiler J linked. Of course I want the OEM one but I can't justify the cost.

I can't either, I just want the OE look and not some big ass wing on the back. I'll probably get the one J linked...though in silverstone and not sebring.

Well, it was more to show you the seller I was talking about...I just scrolled until I found the pics of my old car.

I actually have another one from them in RYP...but the yellow is slightly more pastel than pearl...but honestly, I slapped it on anyway and the difference hasn't bothered me in the slightest. The Sebring though, was perfect.

You're welcome, T...you already know how much research I put into stuff. Go for it, man...

Funny you ask that

The rears were brand new when I bought the car; Hankook Ventus S1 Noble2. The fronts are Sumitomo HTR A/S P01 and need to be replaced I knew they were pretty worn when I bought the car, but I've been lazy. I just had them flipped at work since one side was more worn than the other.

awesome! You are officially 57,000 miles ahead of me!

Also move that mic, looks like ish and probably doesn't work all that way anyway. Mine is mounted up by the rearview mirror.

I know I know it's tough justifying a whole new set of tires when only 2 are worn, but I'd recommend hopping on a fresh set of summer tires.

Jin will back me up on this, tires are the best upgrade, period. (especially coming from a mixed / stock set).

Billman, you must be familiar with him...
he suggested to Dennis to go with Sumi HTR Z3's...
I went with them and have been super happy.

Only thing is I think they are a summer only which is perfect for down here.
I'd just match the front and backs and call it a day.

With the rears being so new, I'll just get the fronts to match and then replace them all when it's time. I can't justify getting rid of two near-new tires

Matching is what I'll do. I'm being cheap and waiting until the fronts are really bad before swapping. Between the engine, windshield, and wedding, I need to rebuild my accounts a bit

Driveway shots aren't very creative but the foliage is nice

Also, I did a thing...

My wife agreed to the S2k purchase on one condition, that all of the money from the TL partout and sale would go towards a truck. It took us forever to find a Tacoma since they hold their value extremely well and our budget was relatively low, but we finally got one! I'll still be daily-driving the S2k but the Taco is for rainy days and the one day per year that we get snow.

Sadly no changes with the S2k but I'm still infatuated with the car. It's extremely fun as-is but would I love to add a few things in the near future. We'll see how generous Santa is this year
