TL Spy shots

Maybe Acura has heard the masses...interesting their sales of the TL are 50% of what they were.

It looks much better. However, I don't know if the damage can be undone to the public perception. It's too bad it took Acura this long to realize. Who ever green lighted the grille should be fired. The 3G was a monster when it came to sales. Only the 3-series would beat it in sales. This was despite the fact that it was a FWD and didn't have as much power as some of its rivals. The 4G addressed all that and is a better car than the 3G in every way except the polarizing style.

I agree with your comments about the 4G being a better car other than the front grill. Help me out here. I don't see the difference in the 2012 grill. It looks like the same buck tooth design except the air vent under it has horizontal lines instead of a honeycomb pattern.

Aren't these pics in the TL thread?

And I swear the beak looks the same, it's just blacked out on the mule. Maybe it's a tad smaller . Regardless, it won't help the rear.

This car needs a complete redesign styling-wise before sales will have any chance of recovering to 3rd gen levels. As graceful and elegant as the 3g was, the 4g is bloated and awkward instead. Not a good recipe for success...
