Tires: Sumitomo HTR+ vs. Kumho Ecsta ASX
Any opinions? It seems like the Kumhos come out ahead of the Sumitomo tires according to Tirerack.
BTW, this is for my other car - 225/45.
I've had Sumitomo, Falken, and Michelin tires on this car. How do Kumhos measure up? The Sumitomos became unbearable with noise when they wore down (plus the tread rating sucked, but the traction was nice), the Falkens started cupping (but that is due to my suspension), and well, the Michelins sucked all around.

I had the Sumi's on my IS300 at the time, they were quite good for an Ultra High performing A/S tire. Sidewalls were a little thin and soft though, causing bubbles more often than expected.

I think I may go with the Kumhos. I need something to use when I drive up to the mountains.
