Tires to fit a 2003 CL Type-S

Does anyone know what size tires will fit on 2003 CL Type-S stock rims? it has 205-50-17 now and a friend has a nice set of 215-55-17. Will this be OK?

stock is 215-50-17 iirc. I have 225-45-17. I've known people to go up to 235s.
