Tint repair question
To keep it short, I have 50% windshield tint (no problems with visibility btw) anyway, as advised by the guy who tinted my car before i moved out of state, i should remove my inspection sticker myself with rubbing alcohol before i take it for reinspection so they dont cut my tint.
I did that, but the guy who gave me my inspection still for some reason tried to scratch at my windshield with the scraper unfortunately i was not aware of this and nicked 2 small pieces where the inspection sticker goes. its not very noticeable, but bothers the hell out of me. my question is would a tint shop be able to at least patch up the area around the inspection sticker without having to retint the whole windshield? im not looking for 100% perfection but at least something to make it even more subtle. anybody know if this is possible without looking ridiculous?
i would go to a tint shop but im new to the area im living and dont really know a reputable place to go to so i am curious what the AZ crew thinks?? thanks guys.

How does that work? Windshield tint? Does the tinter leave out a section for inspection stickers? If so then I would imagine that the inspector nicked your tint around that same area. As far as repair is concerned another tinter may be able to neatly cut away more of that area to remove the nicks.

however my inspection was due so i peeled it off neatly, and bbrought it to a mechanic who would pass it. the idiot unfortunately took the scraper to my windshield ( i still to this day dont know why since the sticker was already removed and all he had to do was stick the new sticker on.)
anyway the guy then put the sticker over the spot with the small piece ripped off (sneaky bastard), and if you look closely at the sticker you can see part of the windshield with the tint missing its about a 1/4 inch long and another spot about half the size of a pinky nail. not a big deal but bothers me since it was perfect before that. i was just wondering if an experienced tinter would be able to patch it up kind of like someone repairing a ripped piece of leather, so i wouldnt have to pay a ridiculous amount of money to untint and retint the windshield just for that small spot.
