damn.. just saw the vid. nice. looks like the new 05's don't do too bad against torque monsters such as the Nissan VQ35 eh??? even at high speed, the cars seem to be even. I guess the VQ would not have an edge at a large track such as Road America. How you like the S2000's torque now, haters???? that's right.
It would be interesting to see the same race, except with the 2.0L S2000.

Not exactly, but then again I don't really care for any convertible with top up. However, it's FL, the top would always be down if I was driving it

Ok, so I have had this itch too, until going to look a few S2k's. With my 6'2 stance, and long torso, I see this presenting a problem for me. This is especially true as the S2k is smaller than my GS-R.
I still think they are fine, hot rides, but just don't think it'll work for me.
About the TQ lack, I know all about that. I was very content with the CLS' TQ, but when I got the GS-R, I was/am really missing the power. Like the S2k, the GS-R comes to life above 5k RPM's, but below that, This is the second factor I don't think I can live with. I miss my TQ without having to listen to the engine buzz and be all noisy.
I've actually gotten so tired of the noise and lack of low end TQ, the Teg will be up for sale in the next few months. It, like the S2k, are well built, handling cars, but something has to give, and I have to be happy in MY car.

Zap, I really want to get myself an s2000 also. I always wanted one and a couple of weeks ago my friend came home with this:
He got it used and got a great deal IMO. Theres a 2003 silverstone/red interior with 9K miles being sold at the local Honda (JLFreed) dealership, you should check it out.
Also, Chopper, my friend who just got this car is 6'4" and 225lbs. Surprisingly, he is doing pretty well in it, no issues with it being unfortable. If you want more room, there are a couple of mods you can do to add a few inches.

I always thought the S2k would make a great 2nd or even 3rd car..... you just can't daily drive it, if you have any kind of "normal" life... lack of space and only 2 seats being the biggest "issues".

Two words.....GET IT!!1
I drove all the verts out there and the S2K was the best of the bunch. It has one of the best 6sp's one the planet, looks great, handles like it's on rails and is just plain fun to drive. I am kicking myself for not getting one, but I needed something a little more practical (the G35C).
Try either Scott Honda in West Chester or Sussman. Conicelli might give you a deal, but might not. They were at $31500 and the other two were right around invoice (like a hair over $30K).
Leasing with just inceptions (approx $1000) will probably work out to be around $500/month give or take.
Do it bro.....and take me out for a spin when you get it!!!!

srika- I was at CJ Mororsports the other day, Charles has a nice white S2K in the shop he's storing for someone/doing some work on it. White with red interior, and gold rims. I usually like gold on white...but with the red interior......not sure.....
