Those of you with children

My son is 1 1/2 and obviously in a car seat still. My problem is that his car seat is digging in the back seat causing perm rings the shape of the seat base. Both in the cloth and foam of my 04 Tacoma.

Is there anyway around this?

I thought about putting down a towel or small blanket. But did not want to cause safety issues by doing so.

I plan to purchase an 08type-S over the next few days. So I'd like to know what other people are doing to avoid damage to there rear seats.

I use a protective pad (gosh...how female does that sound) that I bought at Babies R Us in both of our vehicles and no real problems. Yes the leather has stretched a bit, but nothing major.

Things will get much better when you move him into a booster seat. We just transitioned our 3 YO into a removeable booster seat that uses the vehicles seat belts so there is no need to attach the seat to the car. Much better!

I've been putting a towel under the car seat and there is really no safety concerns if your baby seat does not move.

if you're really concerned, i can see using one of the rubber mat pads underneath being a viable option..

I have these in all of my cars. They are amazing. Keeps the seat from getting dents in it.
