the tranny isn't an issue except for those jackasses doing 4-5K clutch dumps.

The SAAB 9-2x Aero is a regular WRX, not an STi.

I am a fan of the new legacy, however the interior looks sooo much better in the pics than in person. In person it looks nice but it still "feels" like Subaru's terrible plastics and leather.

Not to spoil everyone's parade here ... but keep in mind that we kind of know how Acuras will handle after 5-7 years... Subarus are built here on the same plant as they did my '98 Isuzu.. and let me tell you... they were very plain jane with shitty interior quality long term. Yeah, Subaru 'suits' are touting entrance into luxury market... so the quality and reliability will need to be proven. I personally would like to test drive a 5 yr old STI... to be convinced how it 'survives' through some spirited, kick-ass driving ..
One other thing... re. dealers... where in hell are they??? we have 2 in LA that went out of business... so they charge an arm and a leg for service, since there is no competition...

Other then that.. very nice try into new territory ...

Thats weird considering consumer reports grouped honda with subaru as #2 under toyota last year. After 5-7 years, even an Acura suspension will be beat, that goeas for any suspension. Subaru has really taken a new direction in 05, so 04's and before are really just that, previous models.

my MY99 Legacy 2.5GT has served me well. 110K+ miles and still alive & kicking.

I am also impressed with the new Legacy, I might go to the dealer to check it out, but I rather not take a huge loss with the CL and wait a couple of years for the Legacy (STI), now that would be awsome!!

Also was the new 05 US Legacy already made overseas for a while already like the Euro Accord is to the TSX??
