Tesla Model 3 Hype Train Thread!
It's about to go down! This could be the model T of of the 21st century! Hype Hype Hype Hype!
Seriously, I'm super excited for the announcement tonight.
For those not in the know the Model 3 is Tesla's "affordable" car, expected to be priced around $35k (before tax credit which vary by state) and go at least 200 miles on an electric charge. This the car that's supposed to bring the wonders of electric cars to the masses.
Elon said that it's going to look like nothing you've ever seen before. The latest rumors say it'll have models that have a less than 4.0 0-60 and 300+ mile range.
Elon Musk is seen as half Steve Jobs other half Bill Gates. Can he deliver?

I just finished reading (listening to) his biography last week. It's really good, the guy is very fascinating and definitely has a Steve Jobs side to him.
He's willing to dump all of his fortune into getting humans off of fossil fuels by making electric cars with Tesla and solar energy with Solar City, making space travel significantly cheaper and humans a multi-planetary species with SpaceX. Oh and he's trying to build a hyper-loop and working on plans for an electric plane.
